Frame your credentials around manufacturing systems
Schneider Electric's Development Manager roles sit at the intersection of software, industrial automation, and energy infrastructure. Tailor your resume to show experience with product lifecycle management or embedded systems, not just generic software development.
Target postings tied to EcoStruxure product lines
Schneider Electric clusters its Development Manager hiring around EcoStruxure, its IoT-enabled platform for industrial and building management. Postings that reference this platform signal active headcount with budget already approved for the role.
Search open Development Manager roles on Migrate Mate
Filter for Schneider Electric on Migrate Mate to surface Development Manager openings already verified for visa sponsorship eligibility. This saves you from applying to roles where the hiring team hasn't committed to filing.
Ask about LCA filing timing before accepting
Your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can process your H-1B petition. Confirm Schneider Electric's HR team has initiated this step, since delays at the LCA stage push back your start date regardless of offer acceptance.
Prepare your degree equivalency documentation early
Schneider Electric's Development Manager roles frequently require specialized engineering or computer science credentials. If your degree is from a three-year program or a non-U.S. institution, obtain a credential evaluation from a NACES-member agency before interviews begin.
Clarify which entity is filing your petition
Schneider Electric operates through multiple U.S. subsidiaries. USCIS ties the H-1B petition to the specific legal employer entity, so confirm which subsidiary appears on your offer letter and that it matches the entity filing the petition.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Schneider Electric sponsor H-1B visas for Development Managers?
Yes. Schneider Electric has a documented history of sponsoring H-1B visas for Development Manager roles, particularly in its manufacturing, energy management, and industrial automation divisions. The company's U.S. HR infrastructure is set up to handle petitions, but sponsorship is typically extended to candidates who clear the full interview process and receive a formal offer.
How do I apply for Development Manager jobs at Schneider Electric?
Applications go through Schneider Electric's careers portal, where you can filter by job family and location. You can also browse open Development Manager positions at Schneider Electric that are verified for visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate, which filters out roles where sponsorship hasn't been confirmed. Tailoring your application to reference specific Schneider product lines like EcoStruxure significantly improves response rates.
Which visa types does Schneider Electric commonly use for Development Manager roles?
Schneider Electric sponsors H-1B, E-3, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Development Manager positions. The H-1B is the most common route for non-Australian candidates. Australian citizens can pursue the E-3, which has no lottery and processes faster. Long-term employees often transition to EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship after establishing tenure.
What qualifications does Schneider Electric expect for Development Manager roles?
Most Development Manager openings at Schneider Electric expect a bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, plus significant experience managing software or hardware development teams. Familiarity with industrial automation protocols, agile delivery frameworks, and cross-functional team leadership in a manufacturing or energy context strengthens your candidacy considerably.
How do I understand the visa filing timeline once I have an offer?
After your offer is finalized, Schneider Electric's immigration team typically engages outside counsel to prepare the petition. For H-1B, your employer must first secure a certified LCA from the DOL, which generally takes one to two weeks, before USCIS can receive the full petition. Standard USCIS processing runs three to six months, though premium processing is available for a faster adjudication decision.
