Frame credentials around healthcare program delivery
Quest evaluates Project Program Managers against healthcare operational complexity, not just general PM credentials. Certifications like PMP or PgMP carry more weight when paired with documented experience managing multi-site clinical, lab, or regulated healthcare programs.
Target roles tied to enterprise transformation initiatives
Quest Diagnostics consistently staffs program managers on large-scale system integrations and lab network expansions. Positioning yourself for those tracks, rather than smaller departmental roles, increases your exposure to the teams that actively file sponsorship paperwork.
Search open Project Program Manager roles on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters Quest Diagnostics openings by visa sponsorship eligibility, so you can identify which Project Program Manager postings are accessible without wading through roles that exclude international candidates.
Confirm LCA filing scope before accepting an offer
Quest operates patient service centers and labs across dozens of states. Before signing, verify that the Labor Condition Application filed with DOL reflects your actual work location, since multi-site program roles can complicate prevailing wage determinations.
Align your OPT or CPT start date with Quest hiring cycles
Quest Diagnostics tends to backfill program management positions on a rolling basis rather than in concentrated hiring seasons. F-1 students on OPT should factor in the 60-day unemployment limit when timing applications and negotiating start dates.
Prepare for a longer PERM timeline on Green Card sponsorship
Project Program Manager is a specialized role in a regulated industry, but PERM recruitment requirements still apply. DOL processing backlogs can extend your green card timeline well beyond two years, so clarify the employer's green card policy during the offer stage.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Quest Diagnostics sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Managers?
Yes, Quest Diagnostics sponsors H-1B visas for Project Program Manager roles. The company files petitions through the standard USCIS H-1B cap process each spring, so timing your offer and onboarding around the April 1 filing window matters. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, a cap-exempt transfer may be possible depending on your situation.
How do I apply for Project Program Manager jobs at Quest Diagnostics?
Applications go through Quest Diagnostics' careers portal, where roles are posted by function and location. To filter specifically for openings accessible to visa-sponsored candidates, Migrate Mate aggregates Quest Diagnostics Project Program Manager listings and flags sponsorship eligibility so you can prioritize the right postings before applying directly.
Which visa types are commonly used for Project Program Manager roles at Quest Diagnostics?
H-1B is the most common visa type for Project Program Managers at Quest Diagnostics, given the specialty occupation classification of the role. The company also supports TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management classifications. F-1 OPT and CPT are viable for recent graduates entering the function early in their careers, with H-1B sponsorship following later.
What qualifications does Quest Diagnostics expect for Project Program Manager roles?
Quest typically looks for a bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, information systems, or a related field, often alongside a PMP or similar project management certification. Experience managing cross-functional programs in a clinical, laboratory, or regulated healthcare environment carries significant weight. Roles overseeing system implementations or lab network projects tend to require five or more years of demonstrated program management experience.
How does the visa sponsorship process timeline work at Quest Diagnostics for this role?
From offer acceptance to visa approval, the process involves employer-side steps before USCIS ever receives a petition. For H-1B, Quest must file an LCA with DOL, typically taking seven to ten business days, before submitting the I-129 petition to USCIS. Standard USCIS processing can run three to six months, though premium processing can reduce that to 15 business days for an additional fee that some employers cover.
