Job Description:
With FARO CREAFORM, possibility takes form.
We give quality teams, production teams, maintenance teams, and designers the certainty to manufacture and design like never before — transforming 3D measurements into smarter decisions and endless possibilities.
We work with the largest companies on the planet to provide the solutions that enable them to overcome their most pressing industry challenges. In aerospace and automotive, we work with firms like SpaceX, NASA, Tesla and Volvo among others. In the construction industry, we work with the largest builders to scan and design astonishing projects. For public safety professionals, our forensics scanning tools solve crimes and document scenes with high tech gear you probably see on CSI and in the movies!
We believe that if it can be dreamed it can also be measured. And if it can be measured, it can also be realized.
FARO CREAFORM is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead strategic New Product Development (NPD) programs from idea to market launch within a multidisciplinary engineering environment (hardware, firmware, and software). This role owns end‑to‑end program execution for complex, multi‑year initiatives (typically 18–48 months, involving 10–40 engineers) primarily across Exton, PA and Lake Mary, FL, while collaborating remotely with additional global sites. This senior individual contributor role requires strong program leadership, schedule mastery, and high‑impact executive communication, while also serving as a key partner to the PMO Director to enhance governance and best practices. The salary range for the position is $120k - $150k.
How you will make a difference @ FARO:
- Lead cross functional NPD programs from concept, business case, and requirements through development, alpha and beta phases, production readiness, launch readiness, and post launch stabilization.
- Drive integrated planning across Engineering (HW/FW/SW), Product Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Service, and Marketing.
- Establish clear program goals, scope boundaries, and decision logs; ensure alignment from working teams through executive steering forums.
- Build and maintain an end to end master schedule with critical path visibility, dependencies, resource constraints, and appropriate risk buffers for 18–48 month programs.
- Own schedule governance: progress measurement, KPI maintenance, variance analysis, recovery planning, and proactive escalation.
- Implement disciplined change control (scope, timeline, cost) and ensure decision makers understand trade offs and impacts.
- Ensure rigorous stage gate execution for hardware programs, including deliverable completeness, entry/exit criteria, and objective evidence.
- Drive “no surprises” gate reviews through early risk identification, issue resolution, and cross functional alignment.
- Lead structured risk management: maintain risk registers, mitigation plans, owners, triggers, and routine reviews.
- Manage cross team dependencies and integration milestones; ensure timely removal of impediments.
- Support fact based decision making and escalate issues with clear options and recommendations.
- Prepare and deliver crisp, executive ready program communications for VP/GM level stakeholders, including status, risks, decisions needed, and forecasted outcomes.
- Facilitate steering committee meetings and leadership reviews; ensure actions, ownership, and follow through.
- Serve as a senior peer/mentor within the PM community—modeling high standards in planning discipline, cadence, and gate rigor.
- Contribute to PMO governance improvements (templates, playbooks, training, leading indicators) with a pragmatic, adoption focused approach.
- Partner with the PMO Director to elevate consistency across programs without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.
This position requires:
- Extensive experience leading complex NPD programs in integrated hardware, firmware, and software environments (multi year, multi team).
- Demonstrated mastery of schedule management including critical path, dependencies, resource constraints, forecasting, and recovery planning.
- Experience operating within stage gate development frameworks and ability to integrate agility into broader program milestones.
- Strong cross functional leadership: influence without authority, conflict resolution, and accountability driving.
- Executive level communication skills, with the ability to translate complexity into decisions, options, and recommendations for senior leadership (VP/GM).
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence; familiarity with enterprise PM tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Planview, or equivalents.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP or equivalent project/program management certification.
- Experience with measurement systems, industrial products, electromechanical systems, or complex product ecosystems.
- Background in multi site development environments (engineering split across locations/time zones).
- Demonstrated contribution to PMO maturity through governance design, templates, standard cadences, and mentoring/training.
What FARO Creaform can offer you:
We have excellent benefits for you and your family. We not only care for our employees but also to their immediate family members. We believe in a balanced work-life and have developed programs and benefits plans to support that ethic, such as:
- A competitive paid time off bank and paid holidays

Frame your PM credentials around hardware programs
AMETEK operates across precision instruments, electromechanical devices, and aerospace components. Tailor your resume to show experience managing production schedules, supplier coordination, or NPI processes rather than software or IT project delivery.
Target business units with active hiring cycles
AMETEK runs dozens of semi-autonomous divisions. Search for Project Manager openings by business unit name, not just the parent brand. Divisions with active hardware program launches tend to have the most consistent sponsorship willingness for this function.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Project Manager roles
AMETEK posts Project Manager positions across multiple divisions simultaneously and they fill quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter for AMETEK roles that match your visa type so you're applying to openings where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Verify AMETEK's E-Verify enrollment before accepting an offer
OPT and STEM OPT employment requires the employer to participate in E-Verify. Confirm AMETEK's enrollment through the DOL or ask HR directly before signing, since individual subsidiaries sometimes have separate enrollments from the parent company.

Find Project Manager at AMETEK JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does AMETEK sponsor H-1B visas for Project Managers?
Yes, AMETEK has sponsored H-1B visas for Project Managers and similar technical program management roles. Sponsorship decisions are typically made at the business unit level, so experience is more likely with divisions that run complex hardware or electronics programs. Bringing up your visa status early in the interview process gives recruiters time to confirm sponsorship availability before an offer is made.
How do I apply for Project Manager jobs at AMETEK?
Applications go through AMETEK's careers portal, where roles are listed by division and location. Because AMETEK operates many business units under one parent brand, searching by division name alongside the Project Manager title surfaces more relevant openings. Migrate Mate also aggregates AMETEK Project Manager listings filtered by visa sponsorship type, which helps you prioritize roles that fit your current status.
Which visa types does AMETEK commonly use for Project Manager roles?
AMETEK has used H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visas for this function. H-1B is the most common long-term path for international Project Managers. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering or management roles, and OPT or CPT can bridge recent graduates while a longer-term petition is prepared.
What qualifications does AMETEK expect for Project Manager roles?
Most AMETEK Project Manager postings require a bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field, along with demonstrated experience managing hardware product lifecycles, cross-functional teams, or manufacturing programs. PMP certification is frequently listed as preferred. Roles tied to defense or aerospace divisions may also require familiarity with AS9100 quality standards or ITAR compliance frameworks.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Project Manager offer at AMETEK?
For cap-subject H-1B petitions, USCIS registration opens in March each year, with an October 1 start date if selected. Standard adjudication takes three to five months after filing, though premium processing can cut that to roughly two to three weeks. If you're bridging on OPT, confirm your expiration date allows enough time for the full H-1B cycle before accepting the offer.
