Job Description:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible to grow the Level Measurement Solutions (LMS) business in their assigned geographic area by assessing, developing, and maintaining client and channel partner relationships. They will also manage/expand organic business through our LMS sales channels for all Level products (Magnetrol, Orion, Drexelbrook, BW Controls, and SWI) as well as manage our Key Level Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and House Accounts in the region. Candidate must reside within 1 hour of a major airport in the Southeast region of the US. This territory includes Virginia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina & South Carolina.
Key Responsibilities
- Support industries, accounts, clients, and customers directly or through channel partners by conducting highly effective product and application centric sales presentations for prospective/existing clients for the purpose of capturing sales and training channel partners to be “conversationally comfortable” with our products.
- Conduct research to identify project and industry MRO/PLB opportunities. Coordinate pursuit and follow-up with appropriate AMETEK colleagues and/or channel partners.
- Create, conduct, and manage lead generation campaigns to increase sales opportunities to prospective/existing clients.
- Customer-oriented with the capacity to explain the intricacies of our products and their applications related details to clients and channel partners.
- Utilize the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to increase opportunity capture rates through follow-up on quotations, leads and projects directly with clients, channel partners, or the responsible Regional Sales Manager or Business Development Manager.
- Capture and analyze data in the conduct of day-to-day pursuits and follow-ups to identify market trends related to new application or product enhancements opportunities.
- Cross-functional collaboration with internal and external teams to promote/conduct day-to-day business.
- Thorough understanding of the AMETEK Level Measurement Solutions Business Unit products, applications, and industries.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in General Business, Engineering, or other technical/instrumentation related field.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of Sales experience in the industrial instrumentation or similar field.
- Strong social/interpersonal skills - comfortable with relationship building and sales (in person and via phone).
- Professional and effective oral & written communication/presentation skills.
- Analytical skills – can identify data trends to help predict future needs (applications, products, etc.).
- Ability to disseminate/articulate technical information comfortably to small/medium size audiences (public speaking).
- Fluent in common software platforms including MS Word, MS Excel, Salesforce, etc.
- Willing and able to travel within the designated territory up to 40% of the time.
- Physical requirements of this job include the ability to work on equipment at heights of 100 feet or more above ground. When required, must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 25 pounds related to equipment used in the field.
