Frame credentials around manufacturing program delivery
Jabil evaluates Project Managers against electronics and hardware production cycles. Certifications like PMP are a baseline signal, but your resume should lead with measurable outcomes tied to cross-functional manufacturing programs, not just project coordination tasks.
Target sites with active production expansion
Jabil's sponsorship activity for Project Managers tracks closely with facility growth and new program launches. Research which Jabil sites are scaling operations in your specialty area, since those locations are most likely to push a petition forward quickly.
Clarify your OPT or CPT timeline before applying
If you're on F-1 status, confirm exactly how many months of OPT remain before you reach the H-1B cap-gap window. Jabil's hiring cycle for PM roles can run several months, so a mismatch in timing can complicate your start date or petition filing.
Understand TN eligibility if you qualify
Canadian and Mexican nationals with engineering or management backgrounds may qualify for TN status, which bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely. Confirm with Jabil's HR team early whether your role and degree combination supports a TN classification before the offer stage.
Ask about PERM during the offer negotiation stage
For senior Project Manager roles involving specialized hardware or supply chain systems, Jabil has pursued EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship through PERM. Ask your recruiter directly whether the role is eligible and what the company's typical timeline looks like before you sign.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Project Manager roles at Jabil
Jabil posts PM roles across multiple sites and business units with varying sponsorship eligibility. Use Migrate Mate to filter and browse current Project Manager openings at Jabil that are open to visa sponsorship, so you're applying where your status actually fits.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Jabil sponsor H-1B visas for Project Managers?
Yes, Jabil does sponsor H-1B visas for Project Manager roles. The company operates large-scale electronics manufacturing programs that regularly require specialized project management expertise, and it has a consistent pattern of filing H-1B petitions for this function. Your best path is confirming sponsorship eligibility with the recruiter early in the process, since it can vary by site and business unit.
How do I apply for Project Manager jobs at Jabil?
You can browse and apply for Project Manager positions at Jabil directly through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship eligibility so you're not applying blind. Jabil posts PM openings across global sites and multiple specializations including supply chain, NPI, and program management. Tailoring your application to the specific site's production focus significantly improves your chances of moving past initial screening.
Which visa types does Jabil commonly use for Project Manager roles?
Jabil sponsors H-1B visas most frequently for Project Managers, but the company also has a track record with Green Card sponsorship through the EB-2 and EB-3 categories via the PERM labor certification process for longer-tenured employees. F-1 OPT and CPT are also supported for eligible candidates, and TN visa status is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose credentials and role scope qualify.
What qualifications does Jabil expect for sponsored Project Manager positions?
Jabil typically looks for a bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, or a related technical field, combined with direct experience managing hardware or electronics manufacturing programs. PMP certification is valued but not always required. For H-1B eligibility, the role must qualify as a specialty occupation, so a directly relevant degree field matters more than years of experience alone.
How do I time my application around the H-1B filing calendar?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in early March each year, with a lottery selection shortly after. If you're targeting an H-1B through Jabil, aim to have an offer finalized before March so your employer can register you in time. F-1 OPT holders should also account for the cap-gap provision, which can bridge your status if your OPT expires after April 1 while your petition is pending.
