Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Engineering Jobs at Jabil Jobs
Tailor your resume to Jabil's manufacturing context
Jabil's Engineering roles lean heavily on process engineering, PCB design, and systems integration within high-volume electronics production. Frame your experience around manufacturing scale, yield improvement, or hardware validation to match how their hiring teams screen applicants.
Target roles that align with your degree field
H-1B sponsorship requires your position to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning your degree must directly relate to the role. For Jabil, electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering degrees map cleanly to their core functions. A mismatch between your major and the posted job title creates petition risk.
Use Migrate Mate to find Jabil Engineering openings
Jabil posts Engineering roles across multiple locations, and not all are easy to track. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Jabil positions that have sponsored visas before, so you're applying where sponsorship is already an established practice.
Start OPT applications before your program ends
If you're on F-1 status, USCIS recommends filing your OPT EAD at least 90 days before your graduation date. Jabil does hire OPT candidates, but onboarding timelines in manufacturing environments often run longer than in software, so early filing protects your start date.
Confirm the role is included in the LCA before signing
Before your H-1B petition is filed, your employer must submit a Labor Condition Application to the DOL certifying your offered wage meets the prevailing wage for the role and location. Ask HR which wage level they're filing at, since Jabil operates across many regions with different prevailing wage thresholds.
Prepare for a multi-stage engineering interview process
Jabil's Engineering hiring typically involves technical screens, onsite or virtual panel interviews, and sometimes a site visit. Having your credential evaluations and degree transcripts ready before the offer stage speeds up the sponsorship paperwork once a decision is made.

Find Engineering at Jabil JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Jabil sponsor H-1B visas for Engineers?
Yes, Jabil sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering roles. The company has a consistent history of filing H-1B petitions across its engineering functions, which span electronics manufacturing, hardware development, and process engineering. Sponsorship availability can vary by location and business unit, so confirming directly with the recruiter during the interview process is the most reliable approach.
How do I apply for Engineering jobs at Jabil?
You can apply through Jabil's careers portal or find open Engineering roles filtered by visa sponsorship history on Migrate Mate. When applying, tailor your resume to Jabil's electronics and hardware manufacturing context. During the screening call, ask the recruiter directly about sponsorship availability for the specific role and site you're targeting, since not every location handles sponsorship the same way.
Which visa types does Jabil commonly use for Engineering positions?
Jabil sponsors a range of visa categories for Engineering roles, including H-1B for specialty occupation workers, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering fields, and Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 labor certification. The company also participates in F-1 OPT and CPT programs, making it accessible to recent international graduates still in their authorized training periods.
What qualifications does Jabil expect for sponsored Engineering roles?
Most Engineering roles at Jabil require a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field such as electrical, mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering. For H-1B eligibility, the degree must align with the specific job duties. Practical experience in electronics manufacturing environments, familiarity with quality systems like ISO or IPC standards, and exposure to high-volume production processes strengthen your profile significantly.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take if Jabil extends an offer?
Timeline depends on the visa type. For H-1B, standard USCIS processing runs several months, and cap-subject petitions can only be filed once per year with an October 1 start date. TN status for Canadians can be obtained at the border on the same day. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 typically spans one to three years before an immigrant visa becomes available, depending on your country of birth.
