Align your credentials with specialty occupation standards
Operations roles at Cardinal Health often involve supply chain systems, process optimization, or distribution analytics. Frame your degree and experience around a specific technical discipline so the role clearly meets USCIS specialty occupation requirements, not just general management.
Target distribution center and supply chain postings
Cardinal Health hires Operations talent across its pharmaceutical and medical product distribution network. Focus applications on roles tied to specific distribution centers or logistics hubs, where the need for technical Operations expertise tends to make sponsorship more straightforward to justify.
Ask about the LCA filing timeline early
The Labor Condition Application your employer files with DOL must be certified before your H-1B petition goes to USCIS. In Operations, where start dates align with facility ramp-ups or project cycles, confirming this timeline during the offer stage prevents costly delays.
Understand how TN status fits Operations work
If you're a Canadian or Mexican national, TN classification covers certain Operations-adjacent roles like industrial engineer or management consultant. Verify that your specific job duties and degree field match a qualifying TN category before assuming it applies to your offer.
Use OPT or CPT to build internal advocacy
Cardinal Health sponsors F-1 OPT and CPT, which gives you a window to demonstrate value before H-1B sponsorship becomes the conversation. Operations teams that have seen your work firsthand are far more likely to push sponsorship through internal approval processes.
Find sponsored Operations roles through Migrate Mate
Not every Cardinal Health Operations posting makes sponsorship eligibility clear upfront. Use Migrate Mate to filter for verified sponsoring roles at Cardinal Health so you apply only where visa support is confirmed, not assumed.

Find Operations at Cardinal Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Cardinal Health sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Yes, Cardinal Health sponsors H-1B visas for Operations positions. The role needs to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, meaning it typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific technical field such as supply chain management, industrial engineering, or operations research. Roles with clearly defined technical requirements are the strongest candidates for sponsorship.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at Cardinal Health?
Apply through Cardinal Health's careers portal or use Migrate Mate to find Operations roles where visa sponsorship is already confirmed. When applying, tailor your resume to the specific distribution or supply chain function listed, and address the technical requirements directly. Sponsorship eligibility is best confirmed with the recruiter early in the screening process.
Which visa types does Cardinal Health commonly use for Operations roles?
Cardinal Health sponsors H-1B visas for specialty occupation Operations roles and supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates. For Canadian and Mexican nationals, TN status may apply to certain engineering or analytical Operations functions. Longer-term, Cardinal Health also pursues EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa pathways for sponsored employees seeking permanent residence.
What qualifications does Cardinal Health typically expect for sponsored Operations positions?
Most sponsored Operations roles at Cardinal Health require a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, logistics, or a related technical field. Familiarity with warehouse management systems, distribution operations, or pharmaceutical supply chain processes strengthens your application considerably. For H-1B sponsorship, your degree must align directly with the duties of the specific role being offered.
How do I plan my timeline around H-1B sponsorship for an Operations role at Cardinal Health?
The H-1B cap filing window opens April 1 each year for an October 1 start date. If you receive an offer in Operations outside that window, your employer may use premium processing to expedite USCIS adjudication once the petition is filed. If you're currently on OPT, a timely H-1B filing can also trigger a cap-gap extension that bridges your work authorization until October 1.
