Align Your Resume to Distribution Operations
SRS Distribution hires for roles tied to building materials and roofing supply chains. Frame your resume around inventory control, inbound and outbound logistics, or warehouse throughput metrics rather than generic operations language to match their core business.
Target Branches With High Open Headcount
SRS operates hundreds of distribution branches nationally. Locations with the most open Operations roles are your best entry points, since active hiring signals budget approval and faster movement through offer and sponsorship paperwork.
Clarify Your OPT Timeline Before Applying
F-1 OPT gives you 12 months of work authorization, with a 60-day grace period if employment ends. Before you apply, calculate exactly how much time remains so SRS recruiters can assess whether the timeline works before extending an offer.
Understand How PERM Applies to EB-3 Filings
EB-3 sponsorship for Operations roles requires your employer to complete a PERM labor certification through DOL before filing an immigrant petition. Ask during the offer stage whether SRS handles this process in-house or through outside counsel so you know what to expect.
Confirm TN Eligibility for Your Specific Role
TN status covers specific USMCA-listed occupations. Not every Operations title at a distribution company qualifies. Verify that your job duties map to an eligible category and that SRS is prepared to document this in a support letter before your border crossing or consular appointment.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Verified Sponsoring Roles
Searching for Operations openings at SRS Distribution that actually lead to sponsorship is harder than it looks. Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type so you're only applying to positions where sponsorship is confirmed, not assumed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does SRS Distribution sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
SRS Distribution's sponsorship activity for Operations has focused on permanent resident pathways like EB-2 and EB-3, along with F-1 OPT and TN. H-1B visa sponsorship for Operations positions is less common in the distribution and wholesale industry broadly, since many roles are classified as non-specialty occupations. Ask directly during the offer stage whether H-1B is on the table for your specific title.
Which visa types are commonly used for Operations roles at SRS Distribution?
SRS Distribution has sponsored Operations employees through F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3. TN is a practical option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles. EB-3 is the most common permanent resident pathway for operations and logistics positions in the distribution sector, given the labor certification process through DOL.
What qualifications or experience does SRS Distribution expect for Operations roles?
SRS Distribution Operations roles typically require hands-on experience in warehouse management, supply chain coordination, or distribution logistics, often in building materials or construction supply. Many positions expect familiarity with inventory systems and team supervision. For roles that support EB-3 sponsorship, the minimum education and experience requirements will be defined through the DOL PERM labor certification process.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at SRS Distribution?
Browse open Operations roles on Migrate Mate, where listings are filtered by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. When you apply directly through SRS, be upfront about your visa status early in the process. Distribution companies with active branch networks often move quickly on operations hires, so having your credentials and work authorization documents ready speeds things up considerably.
How do I navigate the sponsorship timeline for an Operations role at SRS Distribution?
Timeline depends heavily on the visa type. F-1 OPT authorization is already in place when you start, but it has a fixed expiration. TN can be obtained at a port of entry or through a consular appointment. EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM is a multi-year process. Clarify which pathway SRS is offering during negotiations and confirm they have legal counsel in place before you accept an offer.
