Align Your Degree to Specialty Occupation Standards
Territory Account Manager roles at SRS often require a business, marketing, or supply chain degree. Before applying, confirm your credentials map to a recognized specialty occupation field, since USCIS scrutinizes outside sales roles more closely than desk-based positions.
Target Open Territories in High-Growth Markets
SRS Distribution hires Territory Account Managers across dozens of active regions. Applying to locations with acute builder and contractor demand, like the Sun Belt states, signals immediate revenue impact and gives hiring managers a concrete business case for sponsoring a work visa.
Raise Sponsorship Early in the Process
Do not wait until an offer to mention visa needs. SRS has a formal HR process for visa filings, so flagging your OPT, TN, or green card status during the recruiter screen lets the team engage their immigration counsel before the offer stage stalls.
Prepare a PERM-Ready Employment History File
If you are targeting an EB-2 or EB-3 green card through SRS, DOL requires detailed job descriptions and wage documentation going back several years. Organizing your employment history, offer letters, and W-2 equivalents now prevents delays once the PERM labor certification process begins.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter SRS Distribution Openings
Searching across general job boards makes it hard to isolate verified sponsoring employers. Use Migrate Mate to filter Territory Account Manager roles specifically at SRS Distribution, surfacing only positions where sponsorship is a known part of the hiring package.
Negotiate a Start Date That Fits Your OPT Window
F-1 OPT gives you 12 months of work authorization, with a 60-day grace period if employment ends. When finalizing your start date with SRS, confirm it falls within your authorized OPT period so there is no gap before your I-20 end date triggers the clock.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does SRS Distribution sponsor H-1B visas for Territory Account Managers?
SRS Distribution's sponsorship activity for Territory Account Managers has been concentrated in green card pathways like EB-2 and EB-3, along with F-1 OPT and TN visas. H-1B visa sponsorship for outside sales roles is less common across the distribution industry because USCIS requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, which can be harder to establish for field-based territory roles compared to technical or finance positions.
How do I apply for Territory Account Manager jobs at SRS Distribution?
You can browse and apply for open Territory Account Manager roles at SRS Distribution through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for positions where visa sponsorship is part of the hiring process. When applying, tailor your resume to the specific territory and product line listed in the posting, since SRS hires regionally and hiring managers prioritize candidates who demonstrate knowledge of local contractor and builder markets.
Which visa types are commonly used for Territory Account Manager roles at SRS Distribution?
SRS Distribution has sponsored Territory Account Managers across F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3. F-1 OPT is the most common entry point for recent graduates, while TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business or engineering roles. EB-2 and EB-3 are longer-term pathways that require the employer to complete the DOL PERM labor certification process.
What qualifications does SRS Distribution expect for Territory Account Manager roles?
SRS typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, supply chain, or a related field, combined with outside sales or account management experience in building materials, distribution, or a related industry. Familiarity with roofing or siding product lines is a strong differentiator. Demonstrated ability to manage a geographic territory, build contractor relationships, and hit revenue targets carries significant weight in the hiring process.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a role at SRS Distribution?
Timelines vary by visa type. F-1 OPT authorization takes roughly three to five months from the application date, so you should apply to USCIS well before your program end date. TN status can be obtained at the port of entry for Canadians or through a U.S. consulate for Mexican nationals, often within days. EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship involves DOL PERM labor certification followed by an I-140 petition, a process that typically spans one to three years before reaching the final adjustment stage.
