Tailor your resume to distribution sales
Territory Manager roles at SRS Distribution center on account management, route coverage, and contractor relationships in building products. Reframe any sales or wholesale experience around revenue territory ownership and product line growth, not just customer service or order processing.
Research which regions are actively hiring
SRS Distribution operates branches across dozens of states, and Territory Manager openings are unevenly distributed by region. Target markets with high residential construction activity, where roofing supply demand drives faster headcount decisions and quicker offers.
Clarify your OPT or TN status early
SRS sponsors TN and F-1 OPT for Territory Manager roles, so confirm your current authorization category before applying. If you're on OPT, be transparent about your end date so hiring managers can align their internal timeline with USCIS processing windows.
Prepare your PERM-ready employment documentation
For EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, SRS will need to run a PERM labor certification through DOL before filing your immigrant visa petition. Gather transcripts, prior employment verification letters, and any professional licenses now so you're not scrambling after an offer is extended.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Territory Manager openings
Filtering by visa type and role category significantly cuts research time. Use Migrate Mate to surface Territory Manager positions at SRS Distribution that are explicitly open to sponsored candidates, so you apply only where your visa category is already accepted.
Confirm sponsorship scope during the offer stage
SRS's willingness to sponsor varies by role level and region. Before accepting an offer, ask the recruiter directly whether the position includes immigrant visa sponsorship or only temporary work authorization, so there are no surprises after onboarding.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does SRS Distribution sponsor H-1B visas for Territory Managers?
SRS Distribution does not appear to sponsor H-1B visas for Territory Manager roles. Their sponsorship activity for this function is concentrated in F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visa, and employment-based Green Card categories like EB-2 and EB-3. If you're on an H-1B visa and targeting SRS, you'll want to confirm directly with their recruiting team whether any exceptions apply to specific roles.
How do I apply for Territory Manager jobs at SRS Distribution?
Applications go through SRS Distribution's careers portal, where Territory Manager openings are listed by region. To find positions that align with your visa category, Migrate Mate lets you filter SRS Distribution roles by sponsorship type, saving you from applying to positions that won't support your specific authorization. Have your resume, work history, and any professional references ready before submitting.
Which visa types does SRS Distribution commonly use for Territory Manager roles?
SRS Distribution sponsors F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT for recent graduates, the TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term hires. Territory Manager is a field sales role, so TN eligibility depends on how the position is classified under the USMCA professional categories list.
What qualifications does SRS Distribution expect for Territory Manager roles?
SRS typically looks for candidates with outside sales or account management experience, ideally in building materials, roofing, or construction distribution. A bachelor's degree in business or a related field is common but not always required if you bring strong industry sales history. Demonstrated ability to manage a geographic territory, build contractor relationships, and hit revenue targets matters more than any single credential.
How do I understand the timeline for Green Card sponsorship at SRS Distribution?
For EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, the process starts with PERM labor certification through DOL, which typically takes 12 to 18 months before USCIS even receives the immigrant petition. Priority date backlogs can add years for certain nationalities. Discuss sponsorship intent with SRS before accepting an offer, and confirm whether they cover legal fees and at what employment milestone sponsorship begins.
