Align Your Resume to Distribution Operations
HD Supply's operations roles prioritize supply chain execution over theory. Tailor your resume to highlight hands-on experience with warehouse management systems, inventory control, or distribution center workflows rather than general logistics credentials.
Confirm LCA Postings Before Applying
Before accepting an offer, verify that HD Supply has filed a Labor Condition Application with the DOL for your specific work location. LCA postings must be publicly displayed at the worksite and confirm the prevailing wage your role will meet.
Search Sponsored Operations Roles on Migrate Mate
Filter for HD Supply operations roles by visa type on Migrate Mate to surface positions where sponsorship has been confirmed. This saves time by narrowing your search to openings that align with your H-1B, TN, or OPT status from the start.
Prepare Your Specialty Occupation Documentation Early
Operations titles like supply chain analyst or logistics coordinator require demonstrating specialty occupation status for H-1B purposes. Gather degree transcripts, job descriptions, and any professional certifications that connect your field of study directly to the role USCIS will evaluate.
Target Site-Specific Roles in Distribution Hubs
HD Supply operates distribution centers across multiple regions. Operations openings at high-volume fulfillment locations often move faster through headcount approval, so prioritizing postings tied to specific distribution hub addresses can improve your chances of a timely offer.
Negotiate Offer Timing Around OPT or Cap Deadlines
If you're on F-1 OPT, your employment authorization window is fixed. When HD Supply extends an offer, confirm whether they'll file for H-1B cap in the next April registration period and whether they'll bridge your OPT with a cap-gap extension if needed.

Find Operations at HD Supply JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does HD Supply sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Yes, HD Supply has sponsored H-1B visas for operations professionals. Sponsorship is most consistent for roles requiring a specific degree in fields like supply chain management, industrial engineering, or logistics. General warehouse or frontline operations positions are less likely to qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards, so targeting analyst or coordinator-level roles improves your odds.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at HD Supply?
Apply directly through HD Supply's careers portal or use Migrate Mate to filter for operations roles at HD Supply that are open to visa sponsorship. When applying, align your application to the specific distribution or supply chain function listed. Following up with a recruiter after submitting, especially if you're on OPT with a limited authorization window, can help move your application forward.
Which visa types does HD Supply commonly use for Operations hires?
HD Supply has sponsored H-1B visas for operations roles and supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students entering distribution or logistics functions. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying operations roles. For longer-term pathways, HD Supply has also pursued EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for operations employees in professional-level positions.
What qualifications does HD Supply expect for sponsored Operations positions?
Operations roles that qualify for sponsorship typically require a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business operations, or industrial engineering. HD Supply also values experience with warehouse management systems, inventory planning, or distribution center operations. For H-1B eligibility, USCIS requires the role to normally require a degree in a specific specialty, so your credentials need to align directly with the job description.
How do I time my application to account for visa processing when targeting HD Supply?
If you're targeting H-1B sponsorship, HD Supply would need to file your petition in April for an October 1 start date, so work backwards from that window when timing your job search. For TN or OPT transitions, processing can happen year-round, but build in buffer time for DOL Labor Condition Application certification, which typically takes one to three weeks before USCIS filing can begin.
