Frame your PMP around supply chain context
Cardinal Health's Project Manager roles lean heavily on distribution and logistics operations. Tailor your resume to highlight experience managing cross-functional projects in regulated industries, warehouse systems, or medical product workflows rather than generic IT or software delivery.
Confirm LCA filing before accepting an offer
Before signing an offer, verify the employer has filed a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL for your worksite location. Cardinal Health operates across multiple distribution centers, and your LCA must reflect the specific site where you'll primarily work.
Distinguish your visa category early in interviews
Cardinal Health sponsors H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT for this function. If you're on OPT, clarify your STEM extension eligibility upfront. TN applicants in management consulting or engineering roles should confirm the Project Manager title maps to a qualifying TN occupation category.
Use Migrate Mate to target open Project Manager roles
Cardinal Health posts Project Manager openings across multiple business units and regions simultaneously. Use Migrate Mate to filter and track roles at Cardinal Health that align with your visa type so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Build your PERM evidence file from day one
Cardinal Health sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for Project Manager staff. Start documenting your specialized duties, performance reviews, and project scope from your first month. USCIS and DOL scrutinize whether the role genuinely requires an advanced degree during PERM audits.
Request H-1B premium processing if your OPT expires soon
If your F-1 OPT end date falls within 15 business days of your H-1B start date, USCIS standard processing timelines create a gap risk. Ask Cardinal Health's immigration team whether they'll elect premium processing to close that window before your work authorization lapses.

Does Cardinal Health sponsor H-1B visas for Project Managers?
Yes, Cardinal Health sponsors H-1B visas for Project Manager roles. The company works with immigration counsel to file H-1B petitions, including cap-subject filings for new hires and transfers for candidates already holding H-1B status with another employer. If you're mid-OPT, Cardinal Health can file your H-1B petition in time for the October 1 start date, provided you receive an offer before the March registration window.
How do I apply for Project Manager jobs at Cardinal Health?
Apply directly through Cardinal Health's careers portal or browse open roles filtered by sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate. Project Manager openings at Cardinal Health span supply chain operations, IT program delivery, and business transformation. Tailor your application to the specific division, since requirements and sponsorship timelines can differ between Cardinal Health's pharmaceutical distribution and medical segment businesses.
Which visa types does Cardinal Health commonly use for Project Manager roles?
Cardinal Health sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for Project Managers. TN is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose Project Manager duties map to a qualifying USMCA occupation. F-1 CPT is typically used for co-op or internship Project Manager positions before converting to full-time OPT sponsorship.
What qualifications does Cardinal Health expect for sponsored Project Manager roles?
Most Project Manager openings at Cardinal Health require a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field. PMP certification or equivalent is commonly listed. Relevant experience with ERP systems, distribution center operations, or healthcare regulatory environments strengthens your application considerably. Roles tied to IT implementation or process transformation may require a more technical background alongside the project management credentials.
How do I time my application to avoid gaps in work authorization?
If you're on F-1 OPT, apply to Cardinal Health at least four to five months before your OPT end date. This gives enough lead time for an offer, H-1B registration in March, and petition filing before your authorization lapses. If you're transferring an existing H-1B, Cardinal Health can file a transfer petition and you're authorized to continue working once the receipt notice is issued.
