Position Your Credentials Around Wealth Management Operations
Kestra Financial sits within the independent broker-dealer and wealth management space. Finance roles here often require backgrounds in investment operations, fee billing, or financial planning support, so tailor your resume and credentials to reflect experience in those specific sub-functions.
Target PERM-Eligible Roles From the Start
Kestra Financial's sponsorship history skews toward permanent residency pathways like EB-2 and EB-3 rather than H-1B. When reviewing Finance openings, look for roles with defined degree and experience requirements, since those are the positions most likely to qualify for PERM labor certification with DOL.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope Before Accepting an Offer
During offer negotiations, ask explicitly whether the company will cover both the PERM filing and the subsequent I-140 petition. Some employers in the financial services sector split these costs or place conditions on timing, so confirming scope in writing protects you before you resign from a current role.
Understand the EB-3 Timeline for Finance Applicants
If you're from a country with high Green Card demand like India or China, an EB-3 approval through Kestra Financial may still mean years of waiting due to visa backlogs tracked by the USCIS Visa Bulletin. Factor this into your broader career and status planning before committing.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Open Finance Roles
Finance openings at Kestra Financial span multiple functions and seniority levels. Use Migrate Mate to filter roles by visa sponsorship eligibility so you're only spending time on positions where your immigration situation is already a fit, not discovering it's a problem after two interview rounds.
Prepare for a Credential-Heavy Hiring Process
Kestra Financial operates in a regulated financial services environment, so Finance candidates are typically expected to document relevant licenses, certifications, and degree equivalency early in the process. If your credentials are from outside the U.S., arrange a formal evaluation before you apply.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Kestra Financial sponsor H-1B visas for Finance roles?
Kestra Financial's documented sponsorship activity for Finance roles centers on permanent residency pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, rather than H-1B visas. If you're currently on H-1B status and targeting a long-term role here, the more relevant question is whether your timeline and priority date align with their PERM-based process.
Which visa types are commonly used for Finance roles at Kestra Financial?
The visa types associated with Finance sponsorship at Kestra Financial are EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visas, both of which require a PERM labor certification filed with DOL before USCIS adjudicates the I-140 petition. These pathways are suited to professionals in roles with defined educational and experience benchmarks, which is common across Finance functions in the broker-dealer and wealth management space.
What qualifications and experience are expected for Finance roles at Kestra Financial?
Finance roles at Kestra Financial typically require a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a closely related field. Roles tied to investment operations or financial planning may also expect familiarity with industry platforms and relevant licenses. For sponsored positions, DOL's PERM process requires the employer to document minimum qualifications, so the stated requirements in the job posting carry real legal weight.
How do I apply for Finance jobs at Kestra Financial?
You can browse and apply for Finance roles at Kestra Financial directly through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship eligibility so you're not wasting time on roles that won't support your immigration situation. Once you identify a relevant opening, apply through the company's official careers page and be prepared to address your work authorization status early in the process, ideally before the first interview.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Finance role at Kestra Financial?
The PERM and Green Card process for Finance roles typically unfolds over multiple years. DOL PERM certification alone can take six to twelve months, followed by USCIS adjudication of the I-140. If your priority date is backlogged under EB-2 or EB-3 due to country of birth, the total wait can extend significantly beyond that. Starting the process as early as possible in your employment tenure matters.
