Frame your credentials around distribution experience
Kestra Financial focuses on independent advisor recruitment and retention, so position your background around channel sales, partnership development, or financial services distribution. Degree documentation matching a business or finance specialty strengthens an EB-2 petition for this role category.
Target Kestra's regional wholesaler openings first
Kestra's Business Development hiring is concentrated in territory-based roles supporting their independent broker-dealer network. Applying to regionally posted positions signals geographic fit and gives you a clearer hook into their sponsorship conversation than applying to a generic corporate opening.
Distinguish EB-2 from EB-3 before your offer conversation
Kestra has sponsored both EB-2 and EB-3 for Business Development. EB-2 requires a position requiring an advanced degree or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers roles requiring a standard bachelor's degree. Knowing which category your target role fits helps you ask the right questions before an offer is finalized.
Confirm PERM labor certification is in their process
For EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship, Kestra's legal team must file a PERM application with the DOL before the immigrant visa petition can proceed. Ask the recruiter early whether their outside immigration counsel handles PERM filings in-house or through a third party so you understand the realistic timeline.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active Business Development roles at Kestra
Migrate Mate filters job listings by visa sponsorship history, so you can identify which Kestra Business Development postings are tied to active sponsorship patterns rather than sifting through listings with no immigration context.
Prepare for a longer hire-to-authorization timeline in this function
Permanent residency sponsorship through PERM and an I-140 petition typically runs 12 to 24 months before priority date considerations. If your current work authorization has a near-term expiration, raise this timeline with Kestra's HR contact before accepting an offer so both sides can plan bridge options.

Find Business Development at Kestra Financial JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Kestra Financial sponsor H-1B visas for Business Developments?
Kestra Financial's documented sponsorship activity for Business Development roles is focused on permanent residency categories rather than the H-1B. If you're currently on H-1B status through another employer, a transfer is possible without new lottery selection, but you should confirm with Kestra's HR team whether they support H-1B transfers for this specific function before moving your application forward.
Which visa types does Kestra Financial commonly use for Business Development roles?
Kestra Financial has sponsored Business Development professionals through the EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories. EB-2 applies when the role requires an advanced degree or demonstrated exceptional ability in finance or business development. EB-3 covers positions requiring a standard bachelor's degree. Both pathways require a PERM labor certification filed with the DOL before the immigrant petition can proceed.
What qualifications and experience does Kestra Financial expect for Business Development roles?
Kestra's Business Development positions typically require a background in financial services sales, independent broker-dealer distribution, or advisor-facing relationship management. A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is a baseline expectation, and roles tied to EB-2 sponsorship will generally require an advanced degree or a demonstrable record of specialized expertise in wealth management distribution.
How do I apply for Business Development jobs at Kestra Financial?
You can browse current Business Development openings at Kestra Financial through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles with verified sponsorship context so you know which listings align with their immigration track record. When applying directly, tailor your resume to Kestra's independent advisor network model, and follow up with their talent acquisition team to confirm sponsorship availability for the specific role before advancing.
How do I plan my timeline if Kestra Financial offers me EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship?
The PERM labor certification process with the DOL alone can take six to 18 months before your employer files the I-140 immigrant visa petition with USCIS. After I-140 approval, your wait for an available visa number depends on your country of birth and the current priority date cut-offs. Candidates from high-demand countries like India should plan for a significantly extended wait beyond the initial petition approval.
