Frame your technical background for KLA
KLA's Business Development roles expect fluency in semiconductor process equipment or adjacent manufacturing domains. Tailor your resume to show experience with customer-facing technical sales, account management, or solutions engineering in capital equipment or related industries.
Target KLA's regional offices strategically
KLA hires Business Development professionals across multiple U.S. sites tied to semiconductor manufacturing clusters. Research which office aligns with your target accounts or product lines, then apply directly to that location to signal genuine fit rather than blanket interest.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles
Browse verified Business Development openings at KLA filtered by visa sponsorship type using Migrate Mate. This saves time and confirms which roles are actively open to sponsored candidates before you invest in the application process.
Understand where H-1B fits your timeline
H-1B petitions are subject to the annual cap with a lottery in March for an October 1 start. If you receive an offer outside that window, ask your KLA recruiter specifically about cap-exempt filing options or whether your role qualifies for premium processing through USCIS.
Prepare for a multi-stage offer process
KLA's Business Development hiring typically involves technical and behavioral interviews plus senior stakeholder review. Sponsorship paperwork only begins after a formal offer, so have your credentials, degree transcripts, and employment authorization documents ready to move quickly once an offer is extended.

Find Business Development at KLA JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KLA sponsor H-1B visas for Business Developments?
Yes, KLA sponsors H-1B visas for Business Development roles. The H-1B requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, which KLA's technical Business Development jobs typically satisfy given the engineering and semiconductor domain knowledge required. Sponsorship is initiated after a formal offer, and USCIS filing timelines depend on the annual cap lottery cycle unless a cap-exempt path applies.
Which visa types are commonly used for Business Development roles at KLA?
KLA sponsors across several employment-based visa categories for Business Development professionals, including H-1B, F-1 OPT and CPT, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, J-1 for exchange visitors, and employment-based Green Card pathways such as EB-2 and EB-3. The right category depends on your nationality, current status, and how long you've been in the U.S. Your KLA recruiter or an immigration attorney can advise on the best fit.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Business Development roles at KLA?
KLA's Business Development positions typically require a bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, physics, or a related technical field, often with a preference for advanced degrees. Practical experience in semiconductor capital equipment, customer account management, or technical sales strengthens your candidacy significantly. Roles often involve cross-functional collaboration with engineering and product teams, so the ability to translate technical specifications into customer value is a core expectation.
How do I apply for Business Development jobs at KLA?
You can find and apply for Business Development openings at KLA through Migrate Mate, which lists roles filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility. Applications go directly through KLA's careers portal. Tailor your application to highlight technical domain knowledge relevant to KLA's product lines, and be prepared to confirm your work authorization status early in the recruiter screening call to avoid delays later in the process.
How do I navigate the Green Card process for a Business Development role at KLA?
Green Card sponsorship for Business Development roles at KLA typically follows the EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based pathway, which requires KLA to complete PERM labor certification through the DOL before filing an immigrant petition with USCIS. The full process from PERM filing to Green Card approval can span several years depending on your country of birth and the priority date backlog. Raising this early in your tenure allows KLA's immigration team to plan your case timeline proactively.
