Align your credentials to battery engineering standards
LG Energy Solution Michigan hires for roles tied to lithium-ion cell development, battery management systems, and manufacturing process engineering. Frame your degree and experience around these specific technical areas before applying, so your background maps cleanly to their specialty occupation requirements.
Target roles that match your visa category
LG Energy Solution Michigan sponsors multiple visa types including H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT. If you're on OPT, prioritize roles in electrochemical engineering or process development where STEM OPT extension eligibility gives you a longer runway to secure H-1B sponsorship.
Search open Energy roles using Migrate Mate
Browse LG Energy Solution Michigan's current Energy openings on Migrate Mate to filter specifically for visa-sponsoring positions. This saves you from applying through general job boards where sponsorship availability isn't always disclosed upfront.
Prepare your LCA timeline before accepting an offer
Your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your H-1B petition can be submitted to USCIS. Confirm with your recruiter how far in advance they initiate LCA filings, especially if you're working against an OPT expiration date.
Highlight manufacturing-scale project experience specifically
LG Energy Solution Michigan operates large-scale production facilities in Michigan. Candidates who can demonstrate experience moving energy storage projects from pilot to full production scale are considerably more competitive than those with only lab or research backgrounds.
Clarify PERM sponsorship expectations during negotiation
If your goal is a Green Card through EB-2 or EB-3, ask directly during the offer stage whether the role includes PERM sponsorship and on what timeline. Not every engineering role at a large manufacturer automatically includes permanent residency sponsorship.

Does LG Energy Solution Michigan sponsor H-1B visas for Energys?
Yes, LG Energy Solution Michigan sponsors H-1B visas for Energy roles. Their engineering and technical positions in battery development and manufacturing process functions typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards, which is the core requirement for H-1B eligibility. If you're currently on OPT or another nonimmigrant status, confirm sponsorship availability directly with the recruiter during the interview process.
Which visa types are commonly used for Energy roles at LG Energy Solution Michigan?
LG Energy Solution Michigan sponsors H-1B, EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visas for Energy positions. H-1B is the most common path for long-term employment, while F-1 OPT and CPT are frequently used by recent graduates entering manufacturing or engineering roles. TN is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering occupations. EB-2 and EB-3 cover permanent residency sponsorship for eligible candidates.
How do I apply for Energy jobs at LG Energy Solution Michigan?
Use Migrate Mate to browse current Energy openings at LG Energy Solution Michigan that are open to visa sponsorship. Once you identify a role, apply through the company's official careers portal. Tailor your application to highlight technical experience in battery systems, electrochemical engineering, or manufacturing process optimization, as these are the competencies LG Energy Solution Michigan consistently recruits for in their Michigan facilities.
What qualifications are expected for Energy positions at LG Energy Solution Michigan?
Most Energy roles at LG Energy Solution Michigan require a bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, chemical engineering, materials science, or a closely related field. Roles in cell development, battery management systems, and production engineering frequently expect hands-on experience with lithium-ion technology or large-scale manufacturing environments. Advanced degrees strengthen candidacy for research-oriented or senior engineering positions, and some roles require familiarity with automotive-grade quality standards.
How do I manage my visa timeline when interviewing for Energy roles at LG Energy Solution Michigan?
If you're on F-1 OPT, start the interview process at least six months before your OPT expires to allow time for an H-1B petition, which USCIS accepts beginning April 1 each year for an October 1 start date. If you're in the 60-day grace period between jobs, you can still interview and receive an offer, but your new employer needs to initiate the sponsorship process quickly to maintain your legal status.
