Align your degree to battery engineering disciplines
LG Energy Solution Michigan's Engineering roles typically require a degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical, or materials engineering. Confirm your credentials map directly to the posted role before applying, since specialty occupation alignment is reviewed at the H-1B petition stage.
Target roles tied to active manufacturing lines
Process and manufacturing engineering positions at battery cell production facilities tend to have the most consistent sponsorship activity. Search for roles referencing electrode manufacturing, cell assembly, or formation processes, where headcount demand is driven by production capacity.
Prepare for a multi-stage technical screening process
Engineering interviews here typically include a technical assessment covering electrochemistry fundamentals or manufacturing process knowledge before any offer discussion. Having documented project experience with battery systems, cell testing, or quality control strengthens your position considerably.
Understand the H-1B cap and petition timing
If you need H-1B sponsorship, registration opens each March for an October 1 start date. Your employer must file the Labor Condition Application with DOL before submitting the I-129 to USCIS, so align your offer timeline to leave room for both steps.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Engineering roles
Engineering openings at LG Energy Solution Michigan move quickly. Search Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles at this company that include visa sponsorship, so you're applying to verified positions rather than relying on general job boards that don't surface sponsorship intent.

Find Engineering at LG Energy Solution Michigan JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does LG Energy Solution Michigan sponsor H-1B visas for Engineers?
Yes, LG Energy Solution Michigan sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Engineering roles. The position must meet USCIS specialty occupation standards, which typically means a required bachelor's degree or higher in a specific technical field directly related to the job duties. Roles in process engineering, electrochemical systems, and manufacturing engineering have historically fit that profile.
How do I apply for Engineering jobs at LG Energy Solution Michigan?
Applications go through LG Energy Solution Michigan's careers portal. Before applying, confirm the role lists visa sponsorship as available and that your engineering discipline matches the job's degree requirement. Migrate Mate lists verified open Engineering positions at LG Energy Solution Michigan filtered by sponsorship status, which makes it easier to find roles worth pursuing.
Which visa types does LG Energy Solution Michigan support for Engineering roles?
LG Energy Solution Michigan supports several visa categories for Engineering hires, including H-1B, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for current students, J-1 for exchange visitors, and immigrant pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. The right category depends on your nationality, degree level, and career stage.
What qualifications does LG Energy Solution Michigan expect for Engineering roles?
Most Engineering positions require a bachelor's degree or higher in chemical, mechanical, electrical, or materials engineering. Hands-on experience with battery cell manufacturing, electrochemical testing, or process quality systems is frequently preferred. Roles at the Michigan facility often emphasize familiarity with lithium-ion cell production environments and manufacturing execution systems.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for an Engineering hire?
Timeline depends on the visa category. An H-1B cap-subject petition requires USCIS lottery selection in March, with employment starting October 1 at the earliest. TN status for Canadian nationals can be obtained at the border in a single day. F-1 OPT authorization through USCIS typically takes two to three months from application. Starting the process the moment your offer is confirmed reduces delays significantly.
