Align your credentials to manufacturing standards
LG Energy Solution Michigan's Operations roles frequently require familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or battery cell production processes. Document any relevant certifications or hands-on factory experience before applying, as these directly strengthen your H-1B specialty occupation case.
Target roles tied to USCIS-defined specialty occupations
Not every Operations title qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Focus on process engineering, quality assurance, or supply chain analyst positions that explicitly require a bachelor's degree in a specific technical field, not general production supervisor roles.
Search verified sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Browse Operations openings at LG Energy Solution Michigan on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for companies with active sponsorship histories. This saves time you'd otherwise spend screening job boards where sponsorship status is unclear or self-reported.
Confirm your OPT start date aligns with hiring cycles
LG Energy Solution Michigan runs structured hiring cycles for manufacturing operations. If you're on F-1 OPT, make sure your available start date covers enough runway for onboarding before your OPT expiration, since the H-1B cap-subject filing window opens only in April.
Ask the recruiter about LCA filing timing upfront
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can process your H-1B petition. Clarify early in the offer stage whether the company's immigration team has already initiated this, since LCA certification typically takes seven business days.
Prepare documentation showing degree-to-role alignment
For PERM or EB-2 sponsorship in Operations, your degree field needs a clear connection to the specific job duties. A role in battery manufacturing process engineering should map directly to a degree in chemical, mechanical, or materials engineering, not a broadly unrelated discipline.

Find Operations at LG Energy Solution Michigan JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does LG Energy Solution Michigan sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Yes, LG Energy Solution Michigan sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Operations positions. Roles that meet the USCIS specialty occupation standard, typically those requiring a specific bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, or a related technical field, are the strongest candidates for sponsorship. Production-level roles without a degree requirement are generally less likely to qualify.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at LG Energy Solution Michigan?
You can find and apply for Operations openings at LG Energy Solution Michigan through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles from employers with verified sponsorship track records. When applying, tailor your resume to emphasize manufacturing process knowledge, technical certifications, and any experience in battery or electronics production environments, as these signal direct relevance to the team.
Which visa types does LG Energy Solution Michigan commonly use for Operations hires?
LG Energy Solution Michigan sponsors across several visa categories for Operations roles, including H-1B, TN (for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupational categories), F-1 OPT and CPT for students, J-1 for exchange visitors, and employment-based Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 pathways for longer-term positions in engineering and technical operations.
What qualifications does LG Energy Solution Michigan expect for sponsored Operations roles?
Sponsored Operations roles typically require a bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, industrial, or materials engineering, or a closely related field. Practical experience in manufacturing environments, particularly in electronics or energy storage production, carries significant weight. Familiarity with quality management systems, ERP platforms, and lean methodologies is commonly expected at mid-level and senior levels.
How do I time my application given H-1B cap deadlines and LG Energy Solution Michigan's hiring process?
The H-1B cap-subject registration window opens in early March, with an October 1 employment start date for selected candidates. If you're targeting LG Energy Solution Michigan for a cap-subject H-1B, plan to have an offer in place by February at the latest. The company's immigration team will need time to prepare your petition after USCIS selects your registration in the lottery.
