Align your credentials with U.S. standards
Lithko hires for technically demanding concrete construction roles. If your degree is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved service before applying. Evaluators often convert three-year degrees to U.S. equivalents, which matters for H-1B specialty occupation eligibility.
Target roles that qualify as specialty occupations
Not every construction title qualifies for H-1B sponsorship. Focus on roles requiring a specific bachelor's degree, such as project engineer, structural engineer, or estimator. General laborer or superintendent roles that accept any background typically won't meet USCIS specialty occupation criteria.
Research Lithko's active project regions before applying
Lithko operates concrete construction projects across multiple states. Applications tied to regions with active job sites signal practical fit to recruiters. Reviewing DOL Labor Condition Application disclosure data can reveal which metro areas Lithko files for most frequently.
Ask about LCA filing timelines early in the process
Before your H-1B petition reaches USCIS, your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL. That process takes around seven business days. Confirm Lithko's HR team understands this step so your offer timeline accounts for it.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Construction roles at Lithko
Lithko posts Construction openings regularly, but not all appear on general job boards. Search Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Lithko's visa-sponsoring Construction roles, so you're only spending time on positions where sponsorship is already part of the hiring conversation.
Prepare for E-Verify confirmation during onboarding
Lithko, like most large federal contractors in construction, participates in E-Verify. Have your work authorization documents organized before your start date. If you're transitioning from OPT or another status, confirm your I-94 and EAD reflect your current authorized period before completing the I-9.

Find Construction at Lithko Contracting JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Lithko Contracting sponsor H-1B visas for Construction roles?
Yes, Lithko Contracting has an active track record of H-1B sponsorship for Construction positions. Sponsorship is most consistent for roles that meet USCIS specialty occupation standards, meaning the position requires a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as civil or structural engineering, construction management, or a closely related discipline.
How do I apply for Construction jobs at Lithko Contracting?
You can find Lithko's open Construction roles through their careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for positions where visa sponsorship is part of the hiring process. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight concrete construction experience and any relevant licensure or certifications, as Lithko's projects are technically specialized and recruiters screen for direct field or project relevance.
Which visa types does Lithko Contracting typically use for Construction hires?
Lithko's primary visa pathway for Construction roles is the H-1B, which covers specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree. This works well for engineering, project management, and estimating titles. Roles that don't require a specific degree are harder to sponsor under H-1B, so your target position's educational requirement is the first thing to verify before pursuing an application.
What qualifications does Lithko Contracting expect for sponsored Construction positions?
Lithko focuses on large-scale concrete construction, so they prioritize candidates with hands-on experience in commercial or industrial concrete projects. For sponsored roles, a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is typically expected. Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30 or ACI certification can strengthen your application, particularly for field-facing roles.
How do I plan my timeline if I'm relying on H-1B sponsorship through Lithko Contracting?
The H-1B process involves two major milestones: USCIS's annual lottery in March and an October 1 employment start date for cap-subject petitions. You'll need an offer secured well before the March registration window. Factor in DOL Labor Condition Application processing of roughly seven business days before the petition can be filed with USCIS. If you're on OPT, confirm your expiration date against this calendar so there are no gaps in authorization.
