How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Maimonides Medical Center Visa Sponsorship USA
Target clinical and specialized medical roles
Maimonides Medical Center's sponsorship activity is concentrated in clinical and specialized healthcare positions. Focus your search on physician, nursing, and allied health roles, where the hospital has a demonstrated pattern of supporting international candidates through the visa process.
Explore TN visa eligibility if you're Canadian or Mexican
Maimonides sponsors TN visas, which are particularly relevant for Canadian and Mexican healthcare professionals in qualifying roles like physicians, nurses, and allied health practitioners. TN sponsorship typically involves a faster process than H-1B, making it worth discussing upfront.
Apply directly through the hospital's careers portal
Maimonides Medical Center manages hiring centrally through its own careers portal. Applying directly signals serious intent and ensures your application reaches their HR and credentialing teams, who handle sponsorship decisions internally for all visa categories they support.
Use Migrate Mate to confirm sponsorship history before applying

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Maimonides Medical Center sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Maimonides Medical Center sponsors H-1B visas and has a strong track record of doing so for healthcare professionals. Sponsorship is most common in clinical, specialist, and allied health roles. If you're applying for a position that requires a specialty occupation degree, it's worth asking the recruiter directly about H-1B eligibility during your first conversation.
What visa types does Maimonides Medical Center sponsor?
Maimonides Medical Center sponsors H-1B, EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas. This breadth makes it one of the more internationally accessible healthcare employers in New York. Whether you're a recent graduate on OPT, a specialist seeking H-1B status, or a Canadian professional eligible for a TN visa, Maimonides has a pathway worth exploring.
Which departments or roles at Maimonides Medical Center are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Maimonides is most common in clinical and specialized medical departments, including physician roles, nursing specialties, and allied health positions such as physical therapists, medical technologists, and radiologists. Administrative or non-clinical roles are less consistently sponsored. Candidates with specialized credentials in high-demand healthcare fields tend to have the strongest sponsorship prospects at the hospital.
How do I find open jobs at Maimonides Medical Center that offer visa sponsorship?
The most reliable approach is to search Maimonides Medical Center's own careers portal for open positions, then cross-reference sponsorship eligibility using Migrate Mate, which aggregates verified sponsorship history by employer and visa type. This combination lets you identify roles that are both currently open and backed by a real sponsorship track record, saving time on applications unlikely to lead anywhere.
How do I approach the application timeline for visa sponsorship at Maimonides Medical Center?
Timing matters significantly for H-1B sponsorship, since USCIS accepts cap-subject petitions only in April for an October start date. If you're targeting Maimonides, aim to secure an offer by February or March at the latest to give HR time to prepare the petition. For Green Card sponsorship, the PERM labor certification process can take 12 to 18 months or longer, so raise it early in negotiations rather than after you've accepted an offer.
