Align Your Portfolio to MBH's Project Types
MBH Architects focuses heavily on commercial interiors, retail, and workplace projects. Before applying, curate your portfolio to highlight experience in those typologies. Generic portfolios that lead with residential or institutional work are less likely to move forward.
Confirm Your Licensure or Exam Standing Early
MBH hires at multiple career stages, but U.S. licensure or active ARE progress strengthens your candidacy significantly. Have your NCARB record or international licensure documentation ready before your first interview, not after an offer arrives.
Time Your OPT Application Around MBH's Hiring Cycles
USCIS recommends filing your OPT application up to 90 days before your program end date. If you're targeting a full-time Architect role at MBH, align your OPT start date with their hiring timeline so your work authorization is active when onboarding begins.
Prepare for H-1B Filing Before Your Offer Letter Arrives
H-1B registration opens in March for an October 1 start. If MBH extends an offer in the spring, your employer needs to move quickly. Have your educational credentials evaluated and degree equivalency documentation ready so your employer's counsel can file without delays.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open Architect Roles at MBH
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship type, so you can surface MBH Architects openings that match your authorization status. Search by role and visa category to avoid applying to positions where sponsorship isn't confirmed.

Find Architect at MBH Architects JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does MBH Architects sponsor H-1B visas for Architects?
Yes, MBH Architects sponsors H-1B visas for Architect roles. H-1B is the most common path for international architects working full-time in the U.S. after OPT or from abroad. The H-1B cap registration runs in March each year, so timing your offer and application process around that window is important if you need H-1B sponsorship to start.
How do I apply for Architect jobs at MBH Architects?
You can find open Architect positions at MBH Architects through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm sponsorship availability before applying. When you apply, submit a portfolio tailored to MBH's commercial and workplace project focus alongside your resume. Roles span design, documentation, and construction administration, so clarifying your experience level in your application materials helps.
Which visa types does MBH Architects use for Architect roles?
MBH Architects sponsors H-1B visas, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for Architect positions. OPT and CPT apply to recent U.S. architecture graduates and can allow you to begin work quickly. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican citizens with a qualifying architecture degree. H-1B is the primary long-term path for candidates from other countries.
What qualifications does MBH Architects expect for Architect roles?
MBH Architects typically looks for a professional architecture degree (B.Arch or M.Arch), proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, and demonstrated experience across design and construction documentation phases. Active progression toward U.S. licensure through the ARE strengthens your application. For international candidates, NCARB credential evaluation or a foreign degree equivalency assessment is standard practice before an H-1B petition can be filed.
How do I time the visa process when targeting an Architect role at MBH Architects?
Timing depends on your current visa status. F-1 students should file OPT with USCIS up to 90 days before graduation to avoid a gap. For H-1B, registration opens in March and work can begin October 1, so offers made in spring need immediate action. TN status can be obtained at a port of entry with minimal lead time, making it faster for eligible candidates.
