Align your portfolio to EPAM's delivery model
EPAM staffs Architects on client-facing engagements, so your experience should show cross-functional delivery, not just internal system design. Highlight cloud migration, microservices, or enterprise platform work that maps to named technology partners like AWS, Microsoft, or Google Cloud.
Clarify your visa category before applying
EPAM sponsors both H-1B and TN visas for Architects, and the right path depends on your citizenship and timeline. If you're Canadian or Mexican, TN processing is faster and avoids the H-1B lottery entirely, which matters when a role has a near-term start date.
Time your application around H-1B cap season
If you need H-1B sponsorship, USCIS registration opens in March for an October 1 start. Target EPAM roles in January or February so there's room for offer finalization and petition prep before the registration window closes.
Use Migrate Mate to target open Architect roles
EPAM posts Architect positions across multiple locations and specializations at any given time. Use Migrate Mate to filter for EPAM roles that explicitly support visa sponsorship, so you're applying to positions where the sponsorship pathway is already confirmed.
Prepare documentation that supports a specialty occupation determination
USCIS requires that an H-1B Architect role demonstrate a direct relationship between the degree field and the position. Have your official transcripts, credential evaluations for non-U.S. degrees, and a clear job description ready before the petition stage.
Understand how PERM affects long-term sponsorship timelines
EPAM sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for Architects, which requires a DOL PERM labor certification. This process can run 12 to 18 months before an I-140 petition is filed, so ask the recruiting team early about where that process typically begins.

Find Architect at EPAM Systems JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does EPAM Systems sponsor H-1B visas for Architects?
Yes, EPAM Systems sponsors H-1B visas for Architect roles. As a large technology and software engineering firm, EPAM has established immigration processes for technical positions. For H-1B candidates, the petition must be filed after USCIS registration in March, with employment starting October 1 at the earliest. Confirming sponsorship intent early in the interview process is advisable.
How do I apply for Architect jobs at EPAM Systems?
You can apply through EPAM's careers portal or find verified sponsorship-eligible openings through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for roles where visa sponsorship is confirmed. Architect roles at EPAM typically require technical screening followed by solution design or architecture review interviews, so preparing a structured walkthrough of a past engagement is a practical first step.
Which visa types does EPAM Systems commonly use for Architect roles?
EPAM sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Architect positions. TN is available for Canadian and Mexican citizens and can be processed at the border without waiting for a cap. H-1B is the standard route for most nationalities and follows the annual USCIS lottery cycle.
What qualifications does EPAM look for when hiring Architects?
EPAM Architect roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience designing large-scale distributed systems or enterprise platforms. Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and client-facing delivery is valued given EPAM's consulting model. Credentials from non-U.S. institutions should be evaluated by a NACES-member agency before your H-1B petition is filed.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for an Architect role at EPAM?
For H-1B, the full cycle from USCIS registration in March to an October 1 start date is roughly seven months. USCIS premium processing can reduce petition adjudication to 15 business days once filed, which is useful if you're transitioning from OPT. TN sponsorship can be completed in days if documentation is in order. Green Card sponsorship through PERM typically adds 12 to 24 months after the employment relationship is established.
