About the role.
As a Sanitation Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and food-safe manufacturing environment. Working under the direction of Sanitation leadership, you will utilize industrial cleaning equipment, Ecolab cleaning agents, and established sanitation procedures to ensure facility and equipment cleanliness while supporting McCain’s Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) standards. This hands-on role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and flexibility to support factory shutdown sanitation activities.
What you’ll be doing.
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of facility infrastructure, including ceilings, pipes, walls, tanks, processing equipment, and production areas.
- Operate power washers and other industrial cleaning tools and equipment to maintain sanitation standards throughout the facility.
- Work safely and effectively in a variety of conditions, including hot, humid, cold, and confined environments.
- Participate in quality and continuous improvement initiatives by understanding and applying sanitation and quality process techniques.
- Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and food safety requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
- Support factory shutdown cleaning activities, including night shift work during shutdown periods as required.
