Merit Logistics is looking for Material Handlers for a local warehouse operation in Hanahan SC. Responsibilities include unloading containers via conveyor belt, sorting packages by SKU onto pallets, wrapping pallets and bringing them to staging area via pallet jack.
This is a Monday-Friday 9AM-5:30PM full time position. The starting pay is $17 an hour. Pay is Weekly.
Must be able to pass a background check, and TSA STA background check. Process will take 5-10 days to complete to get your STA number. Candidates cannot start employment until that is completed.
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to safely lift up to 5-50 lbs consistently.
- Must be comfortable in working in variable temperatures, at times can be hot.
- Background check required. TSA STA background check required.
- Day shift.
- General warehouse experience preferred.
- Performing custodial functions, as necessary, to ensure cleanliness and safety of warehouse and unloading areas.
- Knowledge of equipment such as Pallet Jacks.
- Document and report damages and discrepancies to the supervisor.
