About us
Health is the most important thing in life, and the American healthcare system is completely broken - poor outcomes, high cost, bad patient experience. We're building a new system from the ground up. Our mission is to improve people’s health by making it easy to live a healthy lifestyle. Nourish is the country's largest dietitian-led metabolic health clinic. We’re an AI-native digital health system matching patients with 10,000+ Registered Dietitians, physicians, medications, lab testing, and AI agents to deliver insurance-covered care across all 50 states. Founded four years ago, we've completed millions of appointments, tripled year-over-year, and partnered with health plans covering 200M+ Americans across 250+ health systems. In 2026 we raised a $100M Series C, bringing total funding to $215M. The round was led by Menlo Ventures, with participation from Thrive Capital, Index Ventures, J.P. Morgan Growth Equity Partners, Maverick Ventures, Y Combinator, BoxGroup, Atomico, Daybreak, and Operator Partners.

This is not a job for everyone. We hold an extremely high bar because we believe talent density is our biggest competitive advantage. We're looking for people who actively choose hard, ambiguous problems, who run toward unglamorous work, give and receive candid feedback, and bring relentless resilience without the ego. Our work is important, but we are not self-important. We do this because we’re solving one of the hardest problems in the world, and the problem matters. If that's you, we disproportionately reward it.
About The Role
Reporting directly to our Senior Manager, Provider Network Strategy, the Licensing Lead will own day-to-day execution for our Licensing New Bets pod. You will translate licensing strategy into a clear operating plan, and oversee the virtual-assistant capacity supporting your workflows. Licensing is an upstream driver of provider supply, credentialing, and risk reduction. You will build scalable licensing workflows for new provider types, bring work in-house where appropriate, improve speed and provider experience, and ensure accurate, compliant execution as Nourish grows toward 25,000+ providers. This role is full-time and open to NYC-based or remote candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, and support a pod of New Bets Licensing Associates or Senior Associates, setting priorities, clarifying ownership and deadlines, reviewing work quality, giving direct feedback, and holding the team accountable for outcomes.
- Direct virtual-assistant capacity supporting licensing workflows, including work allocation, training, quality assurance, and performance monitoring.
- Own complex licensing programs end to end, from state and provider-type requirements research through provider instructions, application submission, status tracking, issue resolution, renewals, and reporting.
- Build and maintain clear SOPs, operating cadences, quality controls, documentation standards, escalation paths, and audit-ready records for new and existing licensing workflows.
- Use metrics to manage capacity, throughput, timeliness, quality, provider experience, and execution risk; identify gaps early and lead practical improvement plans.
- Investigate ambiguous state-board, provider, or operational issues using data and primary sources; make sound tradeoffs across speed, compliance, provider experience, business impact, and cost.
- Design scalable workflows and recommend tooling, automation, and ownership improvements in partnership with Credentialing, Product, Engineering, Payer Ops, Finance, RCM, Clinical Ops, and Customer Experience.
- Evaluate where work should be brought in-house or supported by external partners, then implement the operating model and controls required for reliable execution.
- Serve as the day-to-day escalation point for the area you own, resolving blockers independently and escalating material risks with clear recommendations.
- Communicate decisions, owners, deadlines, risks, and next steps clearly to team members, leaders, providers, state boards, external partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Build team capability by coaching associates into stronger owners and future leaders while ensuring reliable delivery against goals.
We’d Love To Hear From You If
- You have approximately 5–9 years of experience in provider licensing, provider operations, healthcare operations, or a closely related field.
- You have meaningful licensing domain depth, including state licensing requirements, application and renewal processes for Medical Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, and Therapists.
- You have demonstrated people-leadership experience, including setting priorities, directing work, giving feedback, managing performance, and developing team members.
- You have owned complex operational programs with rigorous quality, compliance, documentation, and deadline requirements.
- You use metrics to manage capacity, throughput, quality, timeliness, and execution risk.
- You are a strong written and verbal communicator who can simplify complex regulatory or operational issues for different audiences.
- You are tech-savvy and have experience improving processes through tooling, automation, or partnership with Product and Engineering.
- You are flexible, adaptable, and effective in fast-changing conditions.
- A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred but not required.

Target roles at the intersection of healthcare and technology
Nourish operates in the digital health space, meaning roles that blend clinical knowledge with technical skills, such as dietitian, clinical operations, or health tech, are where sponsorship opportunities are most likely to emerge.
Understand which visa types Nourish has sponsored
Nourish has a track record sponsoring both H-1B and E-3 visas. If you're an Australian citizen, the E-3 pathway may be faster to pursue given its simpler process and no lottery requirement, worth raising early with their recruiter.
Raise sponsorship early in the conversation
Healthcare companies like Nourish often have legal counsel familiar with clinical visa sponsorship. Asking about sponsorship in the first conversation signals preparedness and avoids wasted time on both sides.
Align your application to Nourish's mission
Nourish centers its work on expanding access to nutrition care. Candidates who clearly connect their background to patient outcomes or healthcare access tend to resonate more strongly, and stand out in a competitive sponsorship-eligible applicant pool.
Search for verified sponsoring employers before applying broadly
Not every healthcare company will sponsor visas. Use Migrate Mate to filter for employers like Nourish with a confirmed sponsorship history, so your applications are focused on companies already willing to support international candidates.
Prepare for a multi-stage hiring process
Healthcare and health tech companies typically run several interview rounds to assess both clinical judgment and cultural fit. Build extra lead time into your job search if you're on a visa deadline, Nourish's process may take longer than a standard tech startup.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Nourish sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Nourish has sponsored H-1B visas for qualifying roles. As a healthcare technology company, they hire for both clinical and technical positions that can meet the specialty occupation standard required for H-1B approval. If you're targeting Nourish for H-1B sponsorship, focus on roles where a specific degree in a relevant field is a stated requirement, and be prepared to discuss sponsorship directly with the recruiting team early in the process.
What visa types does Nourish sponsor?
Nourish sponsors both H-1B and E-3 visas. The E-3 is available exclusively to Australian citizens and offers a simpler, faster path than the H-1B since it doesn't require lottery selection. If you hold Australian citizenship and are exploring roles at Nourish, the E-3 may be the more practical route to pursue.
Which roles or departments at Nourish are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Nourish tends to center on roles requiring specialized expertise, registered dietitians, clinical program managers, and health technology positions are the most likely candidates. These roles typically satisfy the specialty occupation or equivalent standards required for H-1B or E-3 sponsorship. Generalist or administrative positions are less likely to qualify.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Nourish?
Migrate Mate surfaces companies with verified sponsorship histories, including Nourish, so you can browse current openings knowing the employer has actually sponsored visas before. Filtering by company on Migrate Mate lets you track new roles as they're posted, which is especially useful if you're on a time-sensitive visa situation like OPT or a grace period.
How do I improve my chances of getting sponsored at Nourish?
Come into the process with a clear connection between your background and Nourish's clinical or technology needs. Their mission is expanding access to nutrition care, so framing your experience around patient outcomes or healthcare access resonates. Be transparent about your visa situation early, Nourish has navigated both H-1B and E-3 sponsorship, so their team is not unfamiliar with the process. Having your documents and timeline ready signals you're a low-friction candidate.
