Align your credentials with specialty occupation standards
H-1B eligibility for Consultant roles hinges on demonstrating a direct connection between your degree and the specific consulting work performed. A general business degree may not satisfy USCIS without supporting documentation showing the role's theoretical and practical requirements.
Research NR Consulting's active client verticals
Staffing firms like NR Consulting place Consultants across rotating client engagements. Before applying, identify which industries their current job postings serve. Matching your background to those verticals strengthens your case and signals you can bill quickly, which matters to staffing-model employers.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Consultant roles
NR Consulting posts Consultant openings across multiple locations and client assignments. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles that offer H-1B or TN sponsorship so you're applying to positions where the pathway is already confirmed.
Clarify the LCA's worksite implications before accepting
For staffing-model Consultants, the Labor Condition Application filed with DOL must reflect the actual worksite, not just NR Consulting's office. If you'll be placed at a client location, confirm the LCA will be updated accordingly before your start date.
Confirm TN eligibility if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
TN status is faster to obtain than H-1B and has no annual cap. For Consultant roles, TN eligibility typically requires your position to fall under a qualifying USMCA profession. Verify the specific job duties align with a listed TN category before assuming you qualify.
Negotiate your start date around H-1B cap timelines
If you're cap-subject, the earliest an H-1B can take effect is October 1. Structure your offer negotiation with NR Consulting so your start date accounts for the gap between offer acceptance and when your status actually begins.

Does NR Consulting sponsor H-1B visas for Consultants?
Yes, NR Consulting sponsors H-1B visas for Consultant roles. As a staffing and recruiting firm, the company has experience navigating the sponsorship process for consulting positions placed across client engagements. You'll want to confirm sponsorship availability for the specific role you're targeting, since not every open position may be eligible depending on client arrangements and worksite requirements.
Which visa types are commonly used for Consultant roles at NR Consulting?
NR Consulting sponsors both H-1B and TN visas for Consultant positions. The H-1B applies broadly to qualified international professionals, while TN is available exclusively to Canadian and Mexican citizens whose role maps to a qualifying USMCA profession. If you're Canadian or Mexican and the job duties align, TN is often the faster path since it bypasses the H-1B lottery.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Consultant roles at NR Consulting?
NR Consulting's Consultant positions typically require a bachelor's degree in a field directly relevant to the consulting work performed, whether that's business, engineering, IT, or another specialty. Because the company operates on a staffing model, client-readiness matters. Prior consulting, project-based, or client-facing experience strengthens your application and makes it easier to demonstrate the specialty occupation requirement USCIS applies to H-1B petitions.
How do I apply for Consultant jobs at NR Consulting?
You can browse and apply for Consultant roles at NR Consulting directly through Migrate Mate, which filters for positions that include H-1B or TN sponsorship. When you apply, tailor your resume to reflect the specific consulting function and client-facing responsibilities listed in the posting. Staffing firms move quickly, so a targeted application that connects your degree and experience to the role's stated requirements improves your chances of moving to an interview.
How do I manage the timeline between a job offer and visa filing at NR Consulting?
If you're pursuing an H-1B, NR Consulting would need to file your petition during the April registration window for an October 1 start. Build that calendar into your offer conversation early. For TN, the timeline is significantly shorter since there's no lottery and you can often obtain status at a port of entry or through consular processing within weeks of receiving an offer.
