Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Business Development Jobs at Pinterest Jobs
Frame your BD experience around platform partnerships
Pinterest prioritizes candidates who've worked on content licensing, creator monetization, or advertiser ecosystem deals. Reframe your resume to highlight partnership structures relevant to visual discovery platforms, not just general sales or SaaS business development.
Verify your specialty occupation documentation early
H-1B eligibility for Business Development roles depends on demonstrating a specific degree requirement. Gather transcripts and a credential evaluation before interviews so you can confirm your case is clean before an offer is on the table.
Target Pinterest's partnerships and growth teams directly
Business Development at Pinterest spans merchant integrations, agency partnerships, and API ecosystem deals. Filter job searches by these sub-teams rather than the broad BD function to land on roles with a clearer sponsorship pathway and more defined scope.
Align your visa timeline with Pinterest's hiring cycles
If you're targeting H-1B sponsorship, count backward from the October 1 start date. USCIS registration opens in March, so an offer finalized after April puts you on the next fiscal year's cap. Account for this when negotiating start dates.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Pinterest BD roles by visa type
Identifying which open roles actively support your visa category saves time before outreach. Migrate Mate lets you filter Pinterest Business Development listings by sponsorship type so you're applying where your status is already viable.
Prepare for sponsor confirmation during offer negotiations
Once you have a verbal offer, ask Pinterest's recruiting team to confirm which visa types their immigration counsel supports for that specific role. BD roles with variable comp structures can complicate LCA prevailing wage filings, so clarifying this upfront avoids late-stage delays.

Find Business Development at Pinterest JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Pinterest sponsor H-1B visas for Business Developments?
Yes, Pinterest sponsors H-1B visas for Business Development roles. Eligibility depends on the position qualifying as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which requires a direct relationship between the role's duties and a specific academic field. BD roles focused on data partnerships, API integrations, or technical merchant programs tend to have a stronger specialty occupation argument than generalist sales positions.
Which visa types does Pinterest commonly sponsor for Business Development roles?
Pinterest sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT for Business Development positions, and supports Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term employees. Australian citizens should specifically explore the E-3, which has no lottery and allows direct consular processing. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying BD roles may be eligible for TN status under USMCA.
What qualifications and experience does Pinterest expect for Business Development roles?
Pinterest's BD roles typically require a bachelor's degree in business, economics, marketing, or a related field, with several years of experience in partnerships, strategic alliances, or platform ecosystem development. Experience working with advertisers, content publishers, or API-driven product integrations is valued. For H-1B purposes, your degree field should map clearly to the role's core responsibilities, which USCIS will scrutinize.
How do I apply for Business Development jobs at Pinterest?
Browse open Business Development roles at Pinterest through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm your status is supported before applying. When you apply, tailor your materials to Pinterest's platform partnership context, specifically advertiser growth, merchant integrations, or creator ecosystem deals. Follow up with Pinterest's recruiting team to confirm immigration support early in the process.
How do I plan my timeline if I need Pinterest to file an H-1B for me?
USCIS H-1B registration opens each March for an October 1 start date. If Pinterest extends an offer after the registration window closes, you'll need to wait for the following year's cap unless an exempt filing is available. F-1 OPT holders can begin work while the petition is pending under cap-gap rules, provided the OPT period and H-1B timeline align. Confirm your specific situation with Pinterest's immigration counsel after receiving an offer.
