This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys variety, values teamwork, and takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care. Our Outpatient department provides a diverse range of services, including outpatient services, GI/endoscopy, and infusion therapy. One of the greatest strengths of our Outpatient services dept. is our exceptional team of experienced and dedicated nurses. With nursing experience ranging from 10-40 years, our team brings a wealth of clinical knowledge, expertise, and compassion to patient care.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicates with physicians, Director of Surgical Services, House Supervisor and co-workers, as appropriate about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
- The Registered Nurse is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Coordinates the care of the patient with the surgeon and/or anesthesiologist, directs and guides other personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Out Patient Department.
- Works with other departments and co-workers to provide quality patient care across the continuum, efficient patient flow and unit maintenance and organization.
- Responsible for adherence to regulations, standards and hospital or unit policies and procedures.
- Responsible for participation in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services.
- Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS (AHA or ARC) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS (AHA or ARC) 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Current PALS (AHA or ARC) certificate required 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Previous acute care hospital experience; preferred.
- Moderate Sedation competency completed within 30 days upon hire.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
