Align your credentials with specialty occupation standards
Rogers Construction Engineer roles in chemicals and materials typically require a bachelor's degree in civil, structural, or chemical engineering. Confirm your degree field maps directly to the posted role before applying, since USCIS evaluates specialty occupation fit closely for engineering petitions.
Target Rogers capital projects and plant expansion roles
Rogers regularly staffs Construction Engineers for facility builds and process plant upgrades in the chemicals sector. Roles tied to active capital projects often have firmer start dates and stronger sponsorship urgency, which works in your favor during offer negotiations.
Understand how TN status fits your situation
If you're Canadian or Mexican, TN status lets Rogers bring you on quickly without waiting for H-1B cap season. Engineering is a qualifying TN category, but your degree must be in a directly related field and your job duties must align with the USMCA occupation list.
Prepare for PERM's prevailing wage documentation early
For EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, Rogers must run a PERM labor certification through DOL. Construction Engineer prevailing wages in chemicals manufacturing vary by region, so request your job offer letter reflect the correct wage tier for the work site location.

Find Construction Engineer at Rogers JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Rogers sponsor H-1B visas for Construction Engineers?
Rogers does not appear in H-1B sponsorship data for Construction Engineer roles based on publicly available DOL disclosure records. Their documented sponsorship for this function leans toward Green Card pathways like EB-2 and EB-3, as well as F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas. If H-1B sponsorship is a priority for you, confirm directly with Rogers' recruiting team during the interview process.
How do I apply for Construction Engineer jobs at Rogers?
Start by searching Migrate Mate to find Construction Engineer openings at Rogers filtered by the visa types relevant to your situation. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect project experience in industrial or chemical facility construction, since Rogers operates in the chemicals and materials sector. Follow up with your recruiter early to confirm sponsorship eligibility before progressing through later interview stages.
Which visa types does Rogers commonly use for Construction Engineer roles?
Rogers has sponsored Construction Engineers through EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories, along with F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT for recent graduates. TN visas are also a supported pathway for Canadian and Mexican nationals with engineering degrees. Each visa type has different requirements and timelines, so your best option depends on your current status and degree field.
What qualifications does Rogers expect for Construction Engineer positions?
Rogers Construction Engineer roles in the chemicals and materials industry typically require a bachelor's degree in civil, structural, mechanical, or chemical engineering. Hands-on experience with industrial facility construction, process plant builds, or capital project execution is a strong differentiator. Familiarity with safety standards relevant to chemical processing environments, such as OSHA process safety management requirements, adds meaningful weight to your application.
How do I think about the timeline from application to visa approval for a Construction Engineer role at Rogers?
Timeline depends heavily on your visa pathway. F-1 OPT and TN approvals move fastest, often within weeks of an offer. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM involves a DOL labor certification process that can run six months to over a year before USCIS petition filing even begins. Engage Rogers' HR team early to understand which pathway they're prepared to support and what internal approval steps precede any USCIS or DOL filing.
