Align your credentials to industrial construction
Rogers operates in Chemicals & Materials, so construction roles often require familiarity with industrial or process facility environments. Certifications like OSHA 30, HAZWOPER, or project management credentials tied to industrial sites will strengthen your application considerably.
Target open roles by project lifecycle stage
Rogers typically carries a large volume of active construction openings at any given time. Filter postings by whether they're capital project roles, maintenance construction, or site expansion work, since each has different timeline pressures that affect how urgently they'll move on sponsorship.
Use Migrate Mate to surface Rogers construction openings
Not all Rogers construction postings appear consistently across general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Rogers roles that have a sponsorship track record, so you're applying to positions where international hiring is already established practice.
Understand TN eligibility before your interview
If you're a Canadian or Mexican citizen, Rogers sponsors TN visas, which don't require a petition or lottery. Construction engineers with a qualifying degree can often start in weeks rather than months. Confirm your job title maps to a TN-eligible profession before your offer conversation.
Request early clarity on the PERM timeline
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship for construction roles involves PERM labor certification through DOL, which can take 12 to 18 months before USCIS even receives the petition. Raise this early in negotiations so both you and the hiring team have aligned expectations on the path to permanent residence.
Verify your F-1 OPT work authorization matches the role scope
Rogers sponsors F-1 OPT and CPT, but construction positions in industrial settings often involve field supervision or safety-critical functions. Confirm your authorized employment category directly aligns with your offered duties before your start date to avoid unauthorized practice issues.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Rogers sponsor H-1B visas for Construction roles?
Rogers' construction sponsorship activity centers on EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas rather than H-1B visa. If you're currently on H-1B status with another employer, a transfer is possible, but Rogers' primary immigration pathways for construction are immigrant visa categories and TN visa for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals.
Which visa types does Rogers commonly sponsor for Construction positions?
Rogers sponsors TN visas for qualifying Canadian and Mexican engineers, F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates in construction or engineering disciplines, and EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visas for longer-term hires. The TN pathway is often the fastest for eligible candidates, while EB-3 is the more common route for permanent sponsorship in construction trades and project roles.
How do I apply for Construction jobs at Rogers?
Start by browsing current Construction openings at Rogers on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles with confirmed sponsorship history. Tailor your resume to highlight industrial or process facility construction experience, since Rogers operates in Chemicals & Materials. Apply directly through Rogers' careers portal and specify your visa status and work authorization needs in your application.
What qualifications does Rogers typically look for in Construction candidates?
Rogers construction roles in the Chemicals & Materials sector generally require a degree in civil, mechanical, or construction engineering, or equivalent field experience. OSHA safety certifications are frequently listed. For specialty positions, familiarity with industrial facility construction, capital project delivery, and compliance with EPA or DOT site regulations can differentiate your application.
How do I plan my timeline if Rogers is sponsoring an EB-3 Green Card for me?
EB-3 sponsorship begins with PERM labor certification filed with DOL, a process that typically runs 12 to 18 months. After PERM approval, your employer files an I-140 petition with USCIS. Depending on your country of birth, priority date backlog can add significant wait time before you can file for adjustment of status. Start these conversations at the offer stage, not after you've joined.
