Frame your resume around platform infrastructure
Saviynt sits at the intersection of software and physical systems. Highlight any experience with data center hardware, server rack design, or cooling systems to show you understand the infrastructure layer that underpins identity security platforms.
Confirm OPT STEM extension eligibility early
Mechanical Engineering typically qualifies for the 24-month STEM OPT extension, giving you up to three years of work authorization. Verify your degree CIP code with your DSO before accepting an offer so your employer can plan around your authorized period.
Target roles tied to physical product or lab work
Technology companies sponsor Mechanical Engineers most reliably when the role has a clear hardware mandate. At Saviynt, focus your application on positions involving lab environments, hardware testing, or product lifecycle support rather than generalist engineering openings.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Saviynt openings by visa type
Not every Mechanical Engineer listing at Saviynt will specify sponsorship availability. Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by the visa types the company has historically supported, so you spend time on applications where sponsorship is actually on the table.
Prepare a PERM-ready credentials package from day one
If long-term Green Card sponsorship matters to you, organize your academic transcripts, degree equivalency evaluations, and employment records before you start. DOL PERM audits frequently request these documents and delays usually come from the applicant side, not the employer.

Find Mechanical Engineer at Saviynt JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Saviynt sponsor H-1B visas for Mechanical Engineers?
Yes, Saviynt sponsors H-1B visas for Mechanical Engineers. The company operates in the Technology and Software industry, where H-1B sponsorship for engineering roles is standard practice. If you're currently on OPT, Saviynt can file an H-1B petition during the March registration window, with an October 1 start date if selected.
How do I apply for Mechanical Engineer jobs at Saviynt?
You can apply directly through Saviynt's careers page or browse open Mechanical Engineer positions filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate. Before applying, tailor your resume to emphasize hardware, infrastructure, or lab-focused experience that aligns with the specific role. Reach out to Saviynt's recruiting team early if you have a time-sensitive OPT or cap-gap situation.
Which visa types does Saviynt commonly use for Mechanical Engineer roles?
Saviynt supports several visa categories for Mechanical Engineers, including H-1B, F-1 OPT and CPT, TN, J-1, and employment-based Green Card pathways such as EB-2 and EB-3. TN is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose Mechanical Engineering degree falls under the USMCA qualifying occupations list. OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates before transitioning to H-1B.
What qualifications does Saviynt expect from Mechanical Engineer candidates?
Saviynt typically expects a bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. For H-1B eligibility, the role must qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning a specific degree in a relevant discipline is required. Practical experience with hardware systems, CAD tools, lab testing, or infrastructure environments strengthens your application significantly for roles at a software-focused company.
How do I time my application if my OPT is expiring soon?
If your OPT expires before October 1, you need to be selected in the H-1B lottery by March and have your employer file a petition promptly. Cap-gap protection under USCIS rules allows you to keep working if your OPT expires while an H-1B petition is pending or approved. Start the conversation with Saviynt's HR team about timelines as soon as you receive an offer, not after.
