Job Roles at Security Benefit Companies
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Security Benefit Visa Sponsorship USA
Target roles in financial services and benefits administration
Security Benefit's sponsorship activity centers on its core insurance and financial services operations. Focus your applications on actuarial, investment, technology, and benefits administration roles where specialized skills are most likely to justify the sponsorship investment.
Understand that Security Benefit sponsors Green Cards, not H-1B visas
Security Benefit's sponsorship history is concentrated in permanent residency pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3. If you're seeking initial work authorization rather than a Green Card, clarify your situation early so expectations are aligned from the start.
Lead with your long-term commitment to the role
Green Card sponsorship is a significant investment for any employer. When applying to Security Benefit, emphasize your intent to build a long-term career there, hiring managers need confidence you'll stay through the multi-year immigration process.
Research whether your degree and experience qualify for EB-2
Security Benefit sponsors both EB-2 and EB-3 categories. If you hold an advanced degree or can demonstrate exceptional ability, positioning yourself for EB-2 may strengthen your candidacy and signal a higher-tier professional profile to the hiring team.
Engage with Security Benefit's recruiter team directly about sponsorship
Because Security Benefit sponsors selectively, don't wait for the offer stage to raise immigration. Ask recruiters early whether the specific role has a history of sponsorship, this filters out mismatches before you invest heavily in the process.
Use Migrate Mate to track sponsoring companies in the insurance space
Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and visa type. Browsing insurance and financial services employers there helps you identify which companies, including Security Benefit, have an active track record before you apply.

Does Security Benefit sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on available sponsorship records, Security Benefit does not have a history of sponsoring H-1B visas. Its sponsorship activity is focused on permanent residency through the EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories. If you currently need H-1B sponsorship to work in the U.S., Security Benefit may not be the right fit at this stage of your immigration journey.
What visa types does Security Benefit sponsor?
Security Benefit sponsors employment-based Green Cards, specifically under the EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories. EB-2 is typically for professionals with advanced degrees or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers skilled workers and professionals with bachelor's degrees. The company does not have a documented history of sponsoring temporary work visas such as the H-1B.
Which departments or roles at Security Benefit are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Security Benefit's core business spans retirement planning, investment management, and insurance products. Roles in actuarial science, financial analysis, technology, and benefits administration are most likely to require the specialized expertise that justifies Green Card sponsorship. Candidates with quantitative backgrounds or deep experience in insurance products tend to be the strongest fit for sponsored positions.
How do I approach the application process at Security Benefit as a visa-sponsored candidate?
Raise your sponsorship needs early in the recruiting process rather than at the offer stage. Since Security Benefit sponsors Green Cards selectively, confirm with the recruiter that the specific role has a history of sponsorship before investing significant time. Prepare to articulate your long-term career commitment to the company, as Green Card sponsorship requires a multi-year relationship. Migrate Mate can help you identify open roles at Security Benefit that have a verified sponsorship track record.
How long does the Green Card process typically take when sponsored by Security Benefit?
The employment-based Green Card timeline depends on your country of birth and the preference category. For EB-2 and EB-3 applicants born in countries without significant backlogs, the process from PERM labor certification through final approval can take two to four years. Applicants from high-demand countries like India may face substantially longer waits. Discussing timeline expectations with Security Benefit's HR team and an immigration attorney early is strongly recommended.
