At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.
We are hiring a Senior Manager, Technical Executive Recruiting for our People team. Our Technical Executive Recruiting team is responsible for identifying and closing Director+, Principal Engineering+, and other senior technical leadership talent that shapes Snowflake's engineering trajectory. This role exists to transform how we approach executive-level technical hiring: building proactive, market-informed strategies that position Snowflake as the destination for world-class engineering leaders, while strengthening our reputation as trusted advisors to internal stakeholders and external talent alike.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver hires that directly shape Snowflake's technical leadership bench and long-term technical strategy; includes Director+ leadership and world-class Principal & Distinguished Engineering talent
- Be a player/coach while leading a small team of executive recruiters and researchers focused on Director+ technical leadership and Principal/Distinguished Engineers across Snowflake's engineering and product management organizations
- Develop and execute proactive talent strategies that build long-term relationships with world-class technical leaders before roles are open
- Transform reactive recruitment into a market intelligence function, coaching your team to become domain experts and trusted advisors to executive hiring managers
- Partner directly with VPs and SVPs of Engineering & Product Management to define leadership talent needs, calibrate profiles and influence hiring decisions
- Build and refine AI-augmented recruiting workflows, leveraging Snowflake's AI tools (Cortex AI, agentic automation) to accelerate sourcing, candidate intelligence, and pipeline management
- Set quality and velocity standards for executive searches, using data to identify bottlenecks and continuously improve outcomes
- Cultivate a culture of experimentation on your team, encouraging the adoption of new technologies and approaches to executive talent engagement
- Represent Snowflake's employer brand at the executive level, creating compelling narratives that resonate with senior technical leaders considering their next move
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of recruiting experience, with significant depth in technical executive search (Director+, VP, Distinguished/Principal Engineering/Product hires)
- 3+ years leading or managing a recruiting team with a track record of developing high-performing recruiters and researchers
- Deep fluency in the technical leadership talent market: who the key players are, what motivates them, and how competitive dynamics shift across AI/ML, infrastructure, data, and platform engineering
- Demonstrated ability to build proactive sourcing strategies that generate pipeline independent of inbound applications
- Strong executive presence and the ability to serve as a credible partner to VP/SVP hiring managers on talent strategy
- Experience using AI tools and automation to improve recruiting outcomes, with genuine curiosity about what's next
- A bias toward action, experimentation, and continuous improvement over process for its own sake
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience in executive search at a top-tier technology company or retained executive search firm
- Familiarity with Snowflake's product landscape, competitive positioning, or the data/AI infrastructure talent market
- Experience building executive recruiting functions from the ground up or through significant transformation
- Hands-on use of AI/GenAI tools in recruiting workflows (candidate research, outreach personalization, market mapping)
- Existing relationships with senior technical leaders in the data, AI, or cloud infrastructure space

Align your credentials to Snowflake's tech stack
Snowflake Technician roles typically require demonstrable experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Before applying, make sure your resume explicitly maps your technical certifications and hands-on experience to the data warehousing environment Snowflake operates in.
Target Snowflake's infrastructure and support teams
Snowflake's Technician openings often sit within platform engineering, customer support infrastructure, or data center operations. Filtering your search to these specific teams helps you find roles where technical hands-on skills are the hiring criteria, not general IT generalism.
Understand which visa categories fit your situation
Snowflake sponsors across multiple nonimmigrant and immigrant categories including H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT. If you're on OPT, confirm your STEM extension eligibility early since Snowflake participates in E-Verify, which is a requirement for STEM OPT authorization.
Time your application around the H-1B cap cycle
If you need H-1B sponsorship, Snowflake would need to register you in the USCIS lottery, which opens each March for October 1 employment. Plan your interview timeline so an offer can realistically be made before the registration window closes.
Clarify sponsorship scope during the offer stage
When negotiating your offer, ask specifically whether Snowflake will cover PERM sponsorship for long-term Green Card pathways, not just the initial nonimmigrant visa. Technician roles may qualify under EB-2 or EB-3, but employer commitment to the full process varies by team and level.
Browse verified Snowflake Technician openings on Migrate Mate
Searching for Technician roles that explicitly confirm visa sponsorship saves significant time. Use Migrate Mate to filter Snowflake openings by visa type so you're only applying to positions where sponsorship for your category is already confirmed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Snowflake sponsor H-1B visas for Technicians?
Yes, Snowflake sponsors H-1B visas for Technician roles. Because H-1B requires a specialty occupation with at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field, you'll need to demonstrate that your Technician position meets that standard. Snowflake's technical roles in cloud infrastructure and data platform support generally satisfy the specialty occupation requirement, but the specific job description matters.
Which visa types are commonly used for Technician roles at Snowflake?
Snowflake sponsors Technician candidates across several visa categories: H-1B for degree-holding specialty workers, F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT for students and recent graduates, TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying technical occupations, and J-1 visa for eligible exchange visitors. For longer-term pathways, Snowflake also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for Technician positions that meet DOL's PERM labor certification requirements.
How do I apply for Technician jobs at Snowflake?
Applications go through Snowflake's careers portal, where Technician roles are listed under categories like infrastructure, platform operations, and technical support. Tailor your resume to reflect cloud platform experience and any Snowflake-specific or data warehouse technology exposure. Migrate Mate also lists verified Snowflake Technician openings filtered by visa type, so you can identify roles that already confirm sponsorship for your specific category before applying.
What qualifications does Snowflake expect for sponsored Technician roles?
Snowflake's Technician roles generally require hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, networking, or data systems, along with a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related technical field. For H-1B eligibility specifically, your degree must align directly with the job's duties. Relevant certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP can strengthen your profile, particularly for roles within platform engineering or data center operations.
How do I think about the timeline for getting sponsored as a Technician at Snowflake?
Timeline depends heavily on your visa category. F-1 OPT authorization from USCIS takes up to 90 days, so apply well before your program end date. H-1B sponsorship follows the annual lottery in March with employment starting October 1 at the earliest. TN status for Canadians can be obtained at the border on the day of travel. For Green Card sponsorship through PERM, the full process from labor certification to approval typically spans two to four years.
