Sofidel America of Gila Bend, Az is currently seeking a Mechanical Technician. We are searching for a candidate that is looking for a long-term role in a stable environment. Your expertise will make you an important part of our team!
Job Responsibilities:

Execute equipment preventative and predictive maintenance using specified testing metrics and observation.

Conduct necessary equipment repairs using the appropriate replacement parts.

Use powered hand tools, hoists, and other lifting equipment safely.

Utilize precise instruments like micrometers and calipers to evaluate the condition of the existing parts.
-
Ensure equipment is being maintained to the correct specifications by reading the shop manuals, printouts, and drawings, along with oiling and greasing equipment.
-
Lubricate equipment with oil and grease, and clean parts.
-
Perform or assist with any tasks as necessary to maintain workflow, adhere to deadlines, and satisfy quality standards.
-
Keep the work area safe and in good order while adhering to safety protocols and equipment operating instructions.
-
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:

Must be able to work a 12-hour rotating shift, rotating days to nights in a hot environment.

A high school diploma and/or General Education Degree (GED) is required, and 1 year of industrial experience as an industrial mechanic in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Must have experience installing, repairing, and troubleshooting pumps, conveyors, hydraulic assemblies, fans, gearboxes, and other types of rotating equipment.

General knowledge of hydraulics, minor welding, and minor pipe repair is preferred.

Must have strong decision-making and troubleshooting skills.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.

Must have experience using tools (i.e., Micrometers, laser alignment, etc.), and repairing or manufacturing parts within required specifications and/or tolerances.
