Match your credentials to USMCA professions
ABNA hires for consulting and professional services roles, so confirm your occupation appears on the USMCA TN professions list before applying. Check O*NET to align your job duties with the official occupation definition, since a mismatch at the border causes immediate denial.
Request a role-specific offer letter
ABNA's offer letter must state your USMCA job category, duties, and employment period explicitly. A vague or generic letter is the single most common reason TN admission gets denied at the port of entry, so clarify those details with HR before your travel date.
Prepare your credentials package before interviewing
TN admission requires proof of qualifications at the border or consulate, not after you're hired. Gather your degree transcripts, professional licenses, and any credential evaluations in advance so ABNA's onboarding timeline doesn't stall waiting on documents you should already have.
Use Migrate Mate to find open TN roles at consulting firms
Identifying which consulting employers genuinely support TN admission takes real research. Migrate Mate filters job listings by verified TN-supporting employers, saving you from targeting companies unfamiliar with the USMCA process or unwilling to issue the required offer letter.
Clarify your renewal timeline with ABNA HR early
TN status is granted in up to three-year increments with unlimited renewals, but your project assignment at ABNA must continue justifying the role. Confirm before signing your offer whether ABNA supports TN renewals and what documentation they provide for subsequent admissions.
Benchmark your salary against DOL prevailing wage data
Although TN doesn't require a formal prevailing wage filing, ABNA's compensation for your role affects your ability to justify the specialty nature of the position. Use the OFLC Wage Search to confirm the going rate for your occupation and location before negotiating your offer.
ABNA Corporation TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does ABNA Corporation sponsor TN visas?
ABNA Corporation supports TN admission for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying USMCA professions within its consulting and professional services business. Rather than filing a petition, ABNA issues an offer letter that you present at the border or U.S. consulate. The role must align with a recognized USMCA occupation for admission to be granted.
Which roles at ABNA Corporation typically qualify for TN status?
ABNA's consulting and engineering work aligns with several USMCA TN categories, including management consultant, engineer, and scientific technician roles. Your specific duties must match the USMCA profession definition, not just the job title. Reviewing your offer letter's described duties against USCIS and USMCA guidance before travel helps avoid denial at the port of entry.
How do I start the TN process after receiving an offer from ABNA Corporation?
Once ABNA issues your offer letter, Canadian citizens typically present it directly at a U.S. port of entry or pre-clearance location. Mexican nationals schedule a visa appointment at a U.S. consulate. Either way, bring your degree credentials, the offer letter, and any professional licenses. ABNA's HR team should confirm which documents they include in the support package.
How long does TN admission take when working with ABNA Corporation?
Canadian citizens seeking TN admission at a port of entry can often receive a decision the same day. Mexican nationals applying through a U.S. consulate should expect a wait consistent with standard nonimmigrant visa appointment availability, which varies by location and season. ABNA's onboarding team can help you plan around expected timelines for your specific situation.
How do I find open TN-eligible positions at ABNA Corporation?
Start with Migrate Mate, which surfaces TN-supporting employers and filters roles by visa type so you're not guessing which listings are realistic. Once you identify a relevant ABNA opening, confirm with the recruiter that the role falls under a USMCA profession category and that ABNA will issue the required offer letter before you advance through interviews.
How does TN visa admission work at ABNA Corporation?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from ABNA Corporation, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
