Align your credentials to USMCA categories
TN admission requires your occupation to match a specific USMCA professions list. For Aegis Project Controls roles, verify your engineering, management consulting, or scientific technician credentials map to an eligible category before applying, or your offer letter won't support TN admission.
Tailor your resume to project controls terminology
Aegis hiring managers work in cost control, scheduling, and earned value management. Frame your resume around those deliverables, not generic project management buzzwords. Matching their discipline vocabulary signals fit and speeds up the internal review process before they issue your TN support letter.
Search verified TN employers on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to find open roles at Aegis Project Controls filtered by TN-supporting employers. Seeing which departments and seniority levels Aegis typically hires through TN helps you target the right teams and apply before roles fill through direct referrals.
Request an offer letter that specifies your USMCA category
When Aegis extends an offer, confirm the letter explicitly names your USMCA profession category and your job duties. Border officers and consular officers check both. A vague letter describing general consulting work is one of the most common reasons TN admission gets delayed or denied.
Prepare your degree credential documentation early
Aegis roles in consulting and controls typically require a relevant bachelor's degree. Have your original diploma or certified transcript ready before your border or consulate appointment. Canadian professionals presenting at a port of entry may not get a second chance to supplement incomplete documentation.
Plan around TN's one-year increment at renewal
TN status is granted in one-year increments with no statutory maximum renewals. If Aegis is hiring for a multi-year project engagement, confirm how the team handles TN renewals and whether your project timeline aligns with each one-year admission period to avoid gaps in authorization.
Aegis Project Controls TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Aegis Project Controls sponsor TN visas?
Yes, Aegis Project Controls supports TN admission for eligible Canadian and Mexican professionals. Rather than filing a petition, Aegis issues a support letter that you present at a U.S. port of entry or consulate. The roles that qualify are limited to USMCA-listed occupations relevant to consulting and project controls work.
Which roles at Aegis Project Controls typically qualify for TN admission?
Roles in project controls, cost engineering, scheduling, and management consulting are the most common TN-qualifying positions at Aegis. These map to USMCA categories such as Engineer, Management Consultant, and Scientific Technician. Roles that don't require a degree or fall outside the USMCA professions list won't qualify regardless of title.
How do I start the TN process when applying to Aegis Project Controls?
Once Aegis extends a job offer, request a TN support letter that specifies your USMCA occupation category and your duties. Canadian nationals present this letter directly at a U.S. port of entry. Mexican nationals use it to apply at a U.S. consulate. USCIS is not involved in this process, and there's no petition or LCA.
How long does TN admission take when working with Aegis Project Controls?
Canadian professionals admitted at the border typically receive a decision the same day. Mexican nationals applying through a U.S. consulate face appointment wait times that vary by location and season, so plan accordingly. Aegis's offer letter preparation time depends on their internal HR process, so build in lead time after accepting your offer.
How do I find open TN-eligible jobs at Aegis Project Controls?
Migrate Mate lists roles at employers like Aegis Project Controls that support TN admission, letting you filter by visa type and discipline. Searching there helps you identify which Aegis departments are actively hiring TN professionals and target your application before positions close. Direct outreach to Aegis's project controls teams can also surface roles not publicly posted.
How does TN visa admission work at Aegis Project Controls?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Aegis Project Controls, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
