Match your role to USMCA professions
Arcadis hires across engineering, environmental science, and management consulting, but TN admission only covers specific USMCA-listed occupations. Cross-reference your target role against the official USMCA professions list before applying to confirm your job title qualifies.
Tailor credentials for consulting project work
Arcadis evaluates TN candidates on project-specific expertise, not just degrees. Prepare a credentials package that connects your academic background to the infrastructure or sustainability project type the team is actively staffing, since offer letters reference the specific work you'll perform.
Ask HR about offer letter language early
Arcadis's offer letter must describe your role, duties, and intended U.S. work location in enough detail for the port-of-entry officer. Request a draft before your border crossing or consulate appointment so you can flag any gaps in the occupation description.
Use Migrate Mate to find Arcadis TN roles
Migrate Mate filters open positions by TN-eligible employers and USMCA occupation categories. Search Arcadis specifically to surface consulting and engineering roles where the company actively issues TN support letters, saving you from applying to positions that don't qualify.
Benchmark your salary against OFLC Wage Search
TN status has no prevailing wage requirement, but Arcadis aligns offers to market rates for consulting professionals. Run your target role through OFLC Wage Search before negotiating so your expected compensation reflects what comparable firms pay in the same metro area.
Plan your border crossing around project start dates
Canadian TN professionals enter at the port of entry without a prior appointment, but processing delays happen. Coordinate your crossing date at least several business days before your Arcadis project start date to absorb any officer questions about your consulting duties.
Arcadis TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Arcadis sponsor TN visas?
Yes. Arcadis supports TN admission for Canadian and Mexican professionals in qualifying USMCA occupations by issuing offer letters that describe the role, duties, and work location. Arcadis does not file a petition with USCIS for TN, since TN is a treaty-based admission presented at the border or U.S. consulate by the worker.
Which roles at Arcadis typically qualify for TN admission?
Arcadis most commonly issues TN support letters for engineers, environmental scientists, geologists, and management consultants, all of which appear on the USMCA professions list. Roles in project management, urban planning, and water infrastructure consulting are also common, provided your degree aligns with the occupation USMCA defines for that category.
How do I start the TN process once Arcadis extends an offer?
Once Arcadis extends an offer, work with their HR team to obtain a support letter that details your job title, duties, qualifications, and employment terms. Canadian citizens then present this letter at a U.S. port of entry. Mexican citizens schedule a TN visa appointment at a U.S. consulate in Mexico before traveling.
How long does it take to get TN admission for an Arcadis role?
Canadian professionals can typically receive TN admission the same day at the port of entry if documentation is complete. Mexican professionals should budget several weeks for a consulate appointment and visa issuance. Migrate Mate can help you identify Arcadis openings early so you have enough lead time before your target start date.
Which departments at Arcadis are most likely to hire TN professionals?
Arcadis's environment and water, places, and mobility divisions hire frequently in technical and consulting roles that align with USMCA professions. Engineering and environmental science positions across U.S. project offices tend to have the strongest overlap with TN-eligible occupations, particularly for candidates with infrastructure or sustainability project backgrounds.
How does TN visa admission work at Arcadis?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Arcadis, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
