Match your credentials to USMCA professions
TN admission at Barge Design Solutions requires your role to appear on the USMCA professions list. Cross-reference your job title against the list before applying. Engineering and scientific roles in consulting environments typically align well, but the match must be explicit in your offer letter.
Request a detailed offer letter early
Barge Design Solutions issues offer letters that describe your role, qualifications, and employment terms. Ask hiring managers to include your USMCA profession category, degree requirement, and project scope. A vague letter is the leading cause of TN delays or denials at the border.
Target project-based engineering and technical teams
Consulting firms like Barge Design Solutions staff TN candidates into defined project roles with clear deliverables. Focus your applications on civil, environmental, or structural engineering openings where your degree field maps directly to the role and the client engagement has a defined scope.
Prepare credentials for Canadian port-of-entry admission
Canadian nationals present their offer letter, degree transcripts, and professional credentials directly at a U.S. port of entry. Organize originals and certified copies before your travel date. CBP officers at land crossings and pre-clearance airports review these documents in real time, so gaps slow admission.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified TN openings at Barge
Search Migrate Mate to filter Barge Design Solutions job listings by TN visa type. The platform surfaces roles at employers with confirmed TN hiring history in consulting and engineering, so you spend less time on postings that won't support TN admission for your specific USMCA profession category.
Verify prevailing wage before salary negotiation
TN status doesn't require an LCA, but Barge Design Solutions must pay wages consistent with the role's market rate. Look up your occupation's prevailing wage using the OFLC Wage Search before your offer conversation, so your salary expectations reflect what consulting engineering roles command in the relevant metro area.
Barge Design Solutions, Inc. TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Barge Design Solutions, Inc. sponsor TN visas?

TN is treaty-based under USMCA, so there's no employer petition or USCIS filing involved. Barge Design Solutions provides the documentation you present at the border or U.S. consulate to establish TN status.
Which roles at Barge Design Solutions typically qualify for TN admission?
Barge Design Solutions primarily places TN candidates in engineering and technical consulting roles. Civil, environmental, structural, and transportation engineering positions are the most common fit. Your role must map to a recognized USMCA profession category, and your degree field must correspond directly to the position. Roles in project management or general consulting may qualify if the USMCA criteria are met.
How do I navigate the TN process when hired by Barge Design Solutions?
Once Barge Design Solutions extends an offer, request a detailed offer letter that names your USMCA profession, your qualifying degree, and your specific duties. Canadian nationals present that letter at a U.S. port of entry. Mexican nationals apply at a U.S. consulate abroad. USCIS is not involved. The process typically resolves within the same day for Canadians at the border.
How long does TN admission take when working with Barge Design Solutions?
For Canadian nationals, CBP processes TN admission at the port of entry, often within a few hours on the same day. Mexican nationals applying at a consulate face standard visa appointment timelines, which vary by location and demand. Barge Design Solutions can prepare your offer letter quickly once an offer is confirmed, so your start date depends primarily on your travel logistics.
How do I find open TN roles at Barge Design Solutions?
Use Migrate Mate to search Barge Design Solutions job listings filtered by TN visa type. This narrows results to roles at employers with confirmed TN hiring history, reducing time spent on postings that don't support your status. You can also monitor Barge Design Solutions' careers page directly and ask recruiters during screening calls whether your target role has supported TN candidates before.
How does TN visa admission work at Barge Design Solutions, Inc.?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Barge Design Solutions, Inc., while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
