Match your credentials to USMCA professions
TN admission at Choice Schools Associates depends on your role fitting the USMCA professions list exactly. Education roles like teacher or counselor qualify, but your degree must align directly with the position. Pull the O*NET occupation profile for your target role to confirm the credential match before applying.
Request a detailed offer letter early
Choice Schools Associates's offer letter is your TN admission document at the border or consulate. Ask HR to specify your exact USMCA profession category, your degree requirement, your employment start date, and that the position is non-immigrant in nature. Missing any element can cause a border officer to deny admission.
Verify your wage against prevailing rates
Border officers and consular officers can scrutinize whether the offered salary reflects legitimate professional employment. Before your interview or port of entry, run the OFLC Wage Search for your occupation and location so you can speak to your compensation with confidence if questioned.
Target departments with recurring professional vacancies
Choice Schools Associates operates across multiple school sites, meaning instructional and student services roles open regularly throughout the academic year. Focus your outreach on school-year hiring cycles, since TN-eligible positions in education tend to align with fall and spring semester staffing rather than rolling recruitment.
Use Migrate Mate to identify active TN hiring
Before reaching out to Choice Schools Associates directly, use Migrate Mate to see which roles and locations have active TN-compatible openings. Targeting positions already flagged for TN-eligible candidates saves time and increases your odds of reaching a hiring manager who understands the admission process.
Prepare your Canadian or Mexican admission documents separately
Canadians present TN documentation directly at a U.S. port of entry without a prior visa; Mexicans must attend a consular interview and obtain a TN visa stamp first. Confirm which process applies to your citizenship and prepare your passport, offer letter, and degree credentials accordingly before any travel or appointment.
