Position Summary
The Biology Department at Gannon University is accepting applications for a nine-month, Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning August 2026. We seek a broadly trained biologist to join our existing faculty in providing high-quality instructional experiences to undergraduate students. The successful candidate will teach 24 credit hours in the academic year (lectures = 3 credits, labs = 2 credits), including courses in our introductory majors’ sequence (cell/molecular and organismal courses), upper-level electives in their field(s) of expertise, and other courses in the curriculum as needed. Preference will be given to individuals who can teach anatomy and physiology, microbiology, and/or upper-level molecular biology lecture and lab courses to science and health science majors.
Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
