Match your degree to USMCA profession categories
Geosyntec hires across environmental engineering, geology, and related sciences. Before applying, confirm your degree title maps directly to a named USMCA profession. Border officers reject TN candidates whose credentials don't align precisely, regardless of how relevant their work experience is.
Target roles in technical consulting practices
Geosyntec's core practices in remediation, geotechnics, and water resources consistently hire TN-eligible professionals. Focus your search on project scientist, engineer, or hydrogeologist titles, since these roles match USMCA profession categories and reflect where the firm's active hiring concentrates.
Request a detailed TN support letter from HR
Geosyntec's offer letter must state your USMCA profession category, the specific services you'll perform, and the employment duration. A vague letter is a common cause of TN delays at the border. Ask HR to specify your technical scope, not just your job title.
Verify prevailing wage using OFLC Wage Search
Although TN doesn't require a Labor Condition Application, confirming your offered salary meets the prevailing wage for your occupation and location using OFLC Wage Search strengthens your negotiating position and signals to Geosyntec's HR team that you understand compliance expectations for professional roles.
Use Migrate Mate to find Geosyntec TN openings
Filtering for TN-eligible roles at large consulting firms manually takes time. Migrate Mate surfaces Geosyntec job listings verified against employer visa-support history, so you can identify which open positions align with USMCA profession categories and prioritize applications accordingly.
Prepare your O*NET occupation profile before your interview
Geosyntec hiring managers sometimes ask how your role qualifies under USMCA. Pulling your O*NET occupation profile and reviewing the standard duties for your job code lets you speak precisely to how your work fits the profession definition, which also helps if CBP asks at entry.
Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. sponsor TN visas?
Yes. Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. supports TN admission for Canadian and Mexican nationals by issuing the offer letters required for entry under USMCA. The firm does not file a petition with USCIS, since TN is treaty-based. Eligible candidates present Geosyntec's offer letter at a port of entry or U.S. consulate to obtain TN status directly.
Which roles at Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. are typically eligible for TN status?
Geosyntec most commonly supports TN admission for engineers, geologists, hydrogeologists, and environmental scientists, all of which appear on the USMCA professions list. Roles in the firm's remediation, geotechnical, and water resources practices align closely with recognized TN categories. Positions that require only general business skills or project management, without a qualifying technical degree, are less likely to qualify.
How do I start the TN process after receiving a Geosyntec offer?
Once Geosyntec issues your offer letter, Canadian citizens present it at a U.S. port of entry along with proof of citizenship and credentials. Mexican nationals must schedule a visa appointment at a U.S. consulate through USCIS and obtain a TN visa stamp before traveling. In both cases, Geosyntec's letter must detail your profession category, duties, and employment period.
How long does TN admission take when working with Geosyntec?
For Canadians, TN admission at the border is typically decided the same day. For Mexican nationals, consular appointment wait times vary by location and season, and processing after the interview generally takes one to three weeks. Geosyntec's HR team can issue the support letter quickly once your offer is finalized, so the consular appointment is usually the main variable.
How do I find open TN-eligible positions at Geosyntec Consultants, Inc.?
Migrate Mate lets you search Geosyntec job listings filtered by visa type, so you can identify roles where the employer has a history of supporting TN admission. Look for titles in engineering and environmental science that match USMCA profession categories. Once you identify a target role, confirm the position's degree requirements align with your credentials before applying.
How does TN visa admission work at Geosyntec Consultants, Inc.?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Geosyntec Consultants, Inc., while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
