Match your credential to USMCA exactly
TN eligibility depends on your degree field matching a listed USMCA profession, not just your job title. For engineering roles at Kennedy/Jenks, confirm your credential maps directly to the specific occupation category before applying, since border officers make the final admission decision.
Target Kennedy/Jenks project teams strategically
Kennedy/Jenks builds teams around water, wastewater, and environmental infrastructure projects. Focus your applications on openings in these practice areas, where TN-eligible engineering and scientific roles are most common and where the company has established hiring patterns for Canadian and Mexican professionals.
Request a detailed offer letter upfront
Your TN admission depends entirely on what Kennedy/Jenks puts in your offer letter. Ask HR explicitly to include your job title mapped to a USMCA profession category, your degree requirement, your work location, and your employment start date before you travel to the port of entry.
Verify prevailing wage alignment before negotiating
Although TN has no LCA requirement, confirming your offered salary meets the DOL's OFLC Wage Search benchmark for your occupation and work location strengthens your position at the border and signals to Kennedy/Jenks HR that you understand compliance expectations in professional consulting environments.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified TN openings
Searching for Kennedy/Jenks roles that genuinely support TN admission takes more than a keyword filter. Migrate Mate surfaces positions by employer TN history and occupation type, so you can identify openings where TN professionals have successfully been placed before submitting your application.
Prepare for secondary inspection proactively
Canadian nationals entering on TN at a land or air port of entry occasionally face secondary review when their role involves complex consulting scopes. Carry your degree transcripts, a copy of the offer letter, and a one-page summary of how your duties map to the USMCA profession description.
Kennedy/Jenks Consultants TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Kennedy/Jenks Consultants sponsor TN visas?
Yes. Kennedy/Jenks Consultants supports TN admission for qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals by issuing offer letters that document the role, required credentials, and USMCA profession category. Because TN is treaty-based admission rather than an employer petition, Kennedy/Jenks does not file with USCIS on your behalf. You present the offer letter yourself at the port of entry or U.S. consulate.
Which roles at Kennedy/Jenks Consultants typically qualify for TN admission?
Engineering and environmental science positions are the most common TN-eligible roles at Kennedy/Jenks, given its focus on water, wastewater, and infrastructure consulting. Roles such as civil engineer, environmental engineer, and environmental scientist map directly to USMCA profession categories. Project management and non-technical business roles generally do not qualify unless the position requires a specifically listed USMCA credential.
How do I navigate the TN process once Kennedy/Jenks Consultants extends an offer?
Once you receive a written offer, review it with HR to confirm all TN-required details are included: your USMCA profession category, degree requirement, employment duration, and work location. Canadian citizens apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with that letter and their credentials. Mexican nationals schedule a visa interview at a U.S. consulate. USCIS is not involved in either pathway.
How long does TN admission take when starting at Kennedy/Jenks Consultants?
For Canadian nationals, TN admission at the border typically takes a few hours on the day of entry, assuming your documentation is complete. Mexican nationals must account for consulate appointment wait times, which vary by location and can range from days to several weeks. Build at least two to four weeks of buffer between your offer acceptance and your intended start date to avoid scheduling pressure.
How do I find open TN-eligible positions at Kennedy/Jenks Consultants?
Migrate Mate lets you search for Kennedy/Jenks openings filtered by TN sponsorship history and occupation type, helping you prioritize roles where Canadian and Mexican professionals have been placed before. Cross-reference any role you find against the USMCA professions list and review the O*NET occupation profile for your target job title to confirm the credential and duty requirements align before applying.
How does TN visa admission work at Kennedy/Jenks Consultants?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Kennedy/Jenks Consultants, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
