Match your credentials to USMCA professions
TN admission at Samuel Engineering depends entirely on your role fitting an USMCA-listed profession. Review your degree field and job title against the official USMCA professions list before applying, since mismatches are the most common reason border officers deny TN entry.
Target consulting and engineering roles specifically
Samuel Engineering's hiring centers on technical consulting and engineering disciplines. Focus your search on roles like engineer, scientific technician, or management consultant, which map cleanly to USMCA categories and align with the firm's core professional services work.
Request a detailed offer letter early
Your TN offer letter from Samuel Engineering must describe your role, duties, USMCA profession category, and employment duration. Ask HR to confirm these elements before your border appointment, since an incomplete letter causes delays that push your start date back by weeks.
Verify your wage aligns with prevailing rates
Before accepting an offer, run your role and location through the OFLC Wage Search to confirm your salary meets the prevailing wage for that occupation. Underpaying TN workers raises compliance flags, and Samuel Engineering's HR team will expect you to know this benchmark.
Use Migrate Mate to find open TN roles
Search Samuel Engineering's active TN-eligible openings on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type and shows the company's sponsorship history. Applying through a targeted list of verified TN-supporting roles at the firm saves time compared to sorting through unfiltered job boards.
Prepare your O*NET occupation profile documentation
CBP officers sometimes ask for evidence that your duties match a recognized specialty. Print your O*NET occupation profile for your role and bring it to the port of entry alongside your degree transcripts and offer letter to preempt any questions about professional category eligibility.
