Job Description
The New York State Wastewater Surveillance Network is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to join its Center of Excellence team. The postdoctoral scholar will join a dynamic team of scientists spanning a breadth of disciplines, including epidemiology, microbiology, and bioinformatics. We seek researchers interested in infectious disease epidemiology with experience in genetic epidemiology and/or population genetics. Position is based in Syracuse, NY.
Qualifications
PhD required in a field relevant to infectious disease epidemiology.
Experience in genetic epidemiology and/or population genetics required.
* Experience in wastewater-based epidemiology and/or population health modeling preferred.
Responsibilities
Support for the Center of Excellence for the New York State Wastewater Surveillance Network
Develop and implement scientific investigations in line with the objectives of the research group
Participate in lab meetings, seminars, and collaborative research discussions
Work collaboratively with other researchers and stakeholders, both within the institution and externally
