Match your occupation to USMCA categories
Before applying, confirm your role at The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc maps to a recognized USMCA profession. Consulting and professional services firms often hire engineers, scientists, and management consultants, each with distinct USMCA documentation requirements. Use O*NET to verify your occupation's credential expectations in advance.
Align your credentials to U.S. equivalency standards
The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc's offer letter only supports your TN admission if your credentials meet U.S. equivalency standards for the stated occupation. Canadian three-year degrees are generally accepted, but a credential evaluation from a recognized body strengthens borderline cases significantly.
Request an offer letter before your border appointment
Unlike H-1B visa, TN admission requires no USCIS filing. The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc issues a support letter describing your role, salary, and USMCA occupation category. Canadians present this at a port of entry; Mexican nationals use it at a U.S. consulate. Confirm the letter includes your anticipated duration.
Research active TN roles using LCA disclosure data
Use Migrate Mate to search The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc's verified hiring activity by occupation and location. This lets you identify which professional services roles the firm is actively filling, so you can target your application to teams with demonstrated TN-compatible hiring patterns.
Prepare a role-specific credentials packet for the officer
CBP officers adjudicate TN admission on the spot. Bring a credentials packet tailored to your specific role at The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc: degree transcripts, professional licenses if applicable, and a clear explanation of how your duties satisfy the USMCA profession definition for your occupation category.
Check prevailing wage benchmarks before salary negotiations
TN has no formal prevailing wage requirement, but The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc's offered salary signals professional role legitimacy to CBP officers. Run your occupation and location through the OFLC Wage Search before negotiating to ensure your offer reflects market rates for your field.

Which roles at The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc typically qualify for TN status?
Roles in engineering, scientific consulting, and professional services are the most common TN-eligible positions at The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. Your job title and duties must map to a recognized USMCA profession. Management consultants, engineers, and technical specialists with qualifying degrees typically meet the occupation definition CBP officers assess at entry.
How do I start the TN process with The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc?
After receiving a job offer, The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc provides a support letter describing your role, USMCA occupation category, and employment terms. Canadian nationals take this letter to a port of entry for same-day CBP adjudication. Mexican nationals schedule a consular appointment. No USCIS filing is involved in either case.
How long does TN admission take when working with The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc?
Canadian nationals can receive TN admission the same day at a U.S. port of entry, assuming documents are complete and the CBP officer approves. Mexican nationals face variable consular wait times depending on the appointment backlog at their local U.S. consulate. TN status is granted in two-year increments and can be renewed indefinitely with a continued qualifying offer.
How do I find open TN-eligible jobs at The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc?
Use Migrate Mate to search The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc's active job listings filtered by TN-compatible occupation categories. This helps you identify roles where your USMCA profession aligns with the firm's current hiring needs. Targeting roles that match your occupation category improves your chances of a smooth TN admission at the border or consulate.
How does TN visa admission work at The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
