Align your credentials to USMCA professions
Before applying, confirm your degree maps directly to a named USMCA profession list category. Westwood roles in management consulting and scientific analysis draw heavily on specific designated titles, so a misaligned credential on your offer letter will cause problems at the port of entry.
Target project-based consulting openings specifically
Westwood hires TN professionals into defined project engagements rather than open-ended staff roles. Applying to project-scoped positions signals you understand the structure and makes it easier for hiring managers to justify issuing a TN support letter with a clear scope of work.
Request a detailed offer letter covering all TN requirements
Ask Westwood's HR team to confirm the letter includes your exact USMCA profession category, the project description, your degree requirement, and the employment period. A vague offer letter is the single most common reason Canadian professionals face delays or secondary inspection at the border.
Verify your salary against the OFLC Wage Search
Run your offered salary against the OFLC Wage Search before you accept. TN status has no prevailing wage requirement by law, but Westwood offers that fall below the market rate for your occupation and location can still create credibility issues if a border officer or consular officer reviews compensation.
Search Migrate Mate for active Westwood TN openings
Filter Migrate Mate's job board by TN visa and the consulting sector to surface Westwood Professional Services roles verified for TN admission support. Migrate Mate surfaces DOL Labor Condition Application data by employer, so you can see which occupations Westwood has consistently supported across similar visa categories.
Prepare your O*NET occupation profile for the interview
Pull your O*NET occupation profile before your Westwood interview and know which job zone and specialty tasks it lists for your role. Westwood interviewers in consulting assess whether your day-to-day duties match the statutory profession definition, and referencing O*NET language directly strengthens that case.
Westwood Professional Services TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Westwood Professional Services sponsor TN visas?
Yes, Westwood Professional Services supports TN admission for eligible Canadian and Mexican professionals. The firm issues offer letters that candidates present at a U.S. port of entry or consulate. TN is treaty-based under USMCA, so there is no USCIS petition involved. Westwood's TN support is concentrated in consulting, engineering, and scientific roles that map to named USMCA profession categories.
Which roles at Westwood Professional Services typically qualify for TN status?
Westwood's TN-eligible roles are concentrated in management consulting, engineering, and scientific analysis. These align with USMCA profession categories like Management Consultant, Engineer, and Scientist. Roles in general business operations or administrative support typically do not qualify because they lack a corresponding named category on the USMCA professions list.
How do I start the TN process after receiving an offer from Westwood Professional Services?
After Westwood issues your offer letter, Canadian citizens present it directly at a U.S. port of entry along with proof of citizenship and your degree credentials. Mexican citizens apply at a U.S. consulate. There is no USCIS petition and no LCA. USCIS recommends bringing original degree transcripts and any professional licenses relevant to your designated USMCA profession category.
How long does TN admission take when working with Westwood Professional Services?
Canadian professionals can receive TN admission the same day at the port of entry if documentation is complete. Mexican professionals applying at a consulate typically wait several weeks for an interview slot and visa stamp issuance. Westwood's offer letter preparation generally takes a few business days once your role and start date are confirmed internally.
How do I find open TN positions at Westwood Professional Services?
Use Migrate Mate to filter job listings by TN visa type and the consulting sector to surface current Westwood Professional Services openings. Migrate Mate displays DOL filing data by employer and occupation, giving you visibility into which roles Westwood has supported for TN and similar visa categories. Apply directly through the listing once you confirm the role maps to a USMCA profession.
How does TN visa admission work at Westwood Professional Services?
