Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Nursing Jobs at United Hospital Center Jobs
Get your NCLEX and credentials verified early
International nursing credentials must be evaluated by a CGFNS-approved body before you can sit the NCLEX. Start this process well ahead of applications since credential reviews can take several months and are non-negotiable for any U.S. nursing role.
Target open roles that match your clinical specialty
United Hospital Center posts openings across medical-surgical, critical care, and emergency nursing. Applying to roles that align with your documented clinical background strengthens the specialty occupation case your employer will need to make to USCIS.
Ask HR about their LCA filing timeline upfront
Before the H-1B petition can be filed, your employer must obtain a certified Labor Condition Application from the DOL. Ask the recruiter when they typically initiate this step so you can plan around the 7-to-10-business-day DOL processing window.
Browse Nursing openings at United Hospital Center on Migrate Mate
Filtering by visa type lets you see which Nursing roles at United Hospital Center are open to sponsored candidates. Migrate Mate surfaces active listings so you're not spending time on postings that don't fit your work authorization situation.
Understand how J-1 waiver pathways apply to hospital roles
If you completed a J-1 clinical exchange program, United Hospital Center operates in a federally designated shortage area, which may qualify you for a Conrad 30 waiver. This converts J-1 status to H-1B without triggering the two-year home residency requirement.

Find Nursing at United Hospital Center JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does United Hospital Center sponsor H-1B visas for Nurses?
Yes, United Hospital Center sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Nursing roles. The employer files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL and then submits the H-1B petition to USCIS on your behalf. Sponsorship is tied to a specific position, so your clinical background and the role's requirements both factor into eligibility.
How do I apply for Nursing jobs at United Hospital Center?
Applications go through United Hospital Center's careers portal. Search by department or job type, and filter for roles that align with your nursing specialty and licensure. If you need visa sponsorship, look for postings that indicate sponsorship availability, or browse current openings on Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa type to save you time.
Which visa types does United Hospital Center commonly use for Nursing roles?
United Hospital Center has sponsored H-1B, TN, J-1, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT visa holders for Nursing positions. H-1B is the most common path for long-term employment. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nurses in qualifying categories. J-1 is typically used for exchange visitors, and OPT or CPT applies to F-1 students completing clinical training.
What qualifications does United Hospital Center expect for Nursing roles?
Most Nursing roles require an active West Virginia RN license or eligibility to obtain one, a BSN or ADN depending on the position, and relevant clinical experience in the applicable care setting. Specialized units such as ICU or emergency may require additional certifications like BLS, ACLS, or TNCC. International applicants must also have their credentials evaluated by a CGFNS-approved organization and pass the NCLEX.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Nursing job at United Hospital Center?
Timeline depends on visa type. H-1B standard processing through USCIS takes three to six months after the petition is filed, while premium processing reduces that to 15 business days. The DOL must certify the Labor Condition Application before the petition is submitted, which adds roughly two weeks. J-1 Conrad 30 waivers involve state and federal review and can take four to six months in total.
