Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Customer Service Jobs at Vivint Jobs
Tailor your resume for Vivint's support roles
Vivint's Customer Service hiring skews toward candidates with experience in high-volume inbound environments, upselling, and technical troubleshooting. Align your resume to those specifics rather than generic customer support language to pass initial screening.
Apply during peak hiring cycles for support teams
Home security companies like Vivint ramp up Customer Service headcount before summer and Q4 when installations spike. Targeting those windows gives you better odds of landing an open role that has budget and urgency behind it.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Customer Service openings at Vivint
Migrate Mate lets you filter Vivint's Customer Service jobs by visa type, so you only see roles where your status is already supported. That saves time you'd otherwise spend asking recruiters the same sponsorship question on every application.
Address your OPT timeline directly with recruiters
F-1 OPT authorization runs for 12 months, with a 24-month STEM extension if your degree qualifies. Because Customer Service roles aren't always STEM-coded, confirm early whether Vivint can support your full authorization window before accepting an offer.
Get your work authorization documents ready before the offer
Vivint uses E-Verify, so you'll need your I-20, EAD, or TN documentation ready for onboarding without delay. Gather current, unexpired originals before you reach the background check and I-9 verification stage to avoid a rescinded start date.

Does Vivint sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Service?
Vivint's documented sponsorship activity for Customer Service roles covers F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and H-2B visa types. H-1B sponsorship for Customer Service positions has not been a consistent pattern for this role category at Vivint, so if you're on H-1B status or planning to transition to one, confirm directly with the recruiter before applying.
How do I apply for Customer Service jobs at Vivint?
Applications go through Vivint's careers portal, where Customer Service openings are listed by role type, such as inbound support, retention, or technical troubleshooting. You can also find and filter Vivint's Customer Service listings by visa type on Migrate Mate, which saves you from applying to roles where your visa status isn't supported.
Which visa types does Vivint commonly sponsor for Customer Service roles?
Vivint has sponsored Customer Service hires on F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and H-2B visas. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. F-1 OPT and CPT are typically used by international students completing U.S. degrees. H-2B covers temporary nonagricultural workers in roles with seasonal or peak-period demand.
What qualifications does Vivint expect for Customer Service roles?
Vivint's Customer Service positions typically require strong verbal communication skills, comfort with CRM platforms, and experience handling high call volumes. Roles focused on technical support or smart home products may expect some familiarity with basic troubleshooting. Bilingual candidates, particularly Spanish-English, are often prioritized given the breadth of Vivint's residential customer base across the U.S.
How do I time my application given visa authorization windows?
If you're on F-1 OPT, your 12-month authorization window starts from your program end date, not your hire date, so applying early in that window gives you more runway. TN status can be renewed annually without a cap, making it more flexible for ongoing employment. Confirm with USCIS or your international student advisor that your specific status aligns with Vivint's expected employment start date before accepting any offer.
