Senior Level Construction Administrator Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level construction administrator job?
Employers at this level look for candidates who can own the full project administration cycle, from contract review and submittals to closeout and punch lists, without close supervision. Demonstrating experience coordinating across architects, contractors, and owners on large or complex projects is a strong differentiator. Familiarity with construction management software, RFI workflows, and AIA contract documents puts candidates ahead of the field.
Which companies hire senior level construction administrators?
Companies hiring senior level construction administrators right now include Stantec, BBA, and Strang, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level covers large general contractors, architecture and engineering firms, real estate developers, and public agencies managing capital improvement programs.
Are there remote senior level construction administrator jobs?
Yes, though most roles involve at least some site presence or owner-representative travel. About 14% of senior level construction administrator openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the growing use of digital project management tools that allow administrative oversight without daily on-site attendance.
What makes a construction administrator role senior level?
Senior level construction administrator roles involve independent ownership of the construction administration phase, including interpreting contract documents, evaluating contractor pay applications, resolving design-field conflicts, and managing project closeout. These positions also carry responsibility for mentoring junior staff, leading client communications, and often overseeing multiple concurrent projects rather than supporting a single one.
Which industries hire the most senior level construction administrators?
Senior Level construction administrator roles concentrate in Consulting & Professional Services and Construction & Real Estate, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive the most demand because they involve sustained capital investment in complex building programs that require experienced oversight from design through construction completion.
