Construction Estimator Jobs in Dallas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a construction estimator job in Dallas?
Target Dallas's most active hiring sectors: commercial real estate development, highway and infrastructure work along major corridors like I-35 and I-635, and the industrial build-out happening in South Dallas and DFW's inland port area. General contractors and civil engineering firms in Uptown and the Design District hire frequently. A background in takeoff software like Bluebeam or On-Screen Takeoff, combined with experience on Texas-scale commercial or public projects, gives candidates a clear edge in this market.
Which companies hire construction estimators in Dallas?
Companies currently hiring construction estimators in Dallas include Jobot, blueteam, and SureCrete, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Dallas's market includes a mix of large regional general contractors, specialty subcontractors, and civil engineering firms tied to the city's ongoing commercial and infrastructure expansion.
Are there remote construction estimator jobs in Dallas?
Yes, though remote availability is limited for this role since much of the work ties to site visits, local subcontractor relationships, and in-person project reviews. About 20% of construction estimator openings tied to Dallas are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, with remote work most common for the quantity takeoff and bid preparation portions of the role.
How can I get a construction estimator job in Dallas with little or no experience?
